BHC Chicken in Koreatown is one of the best chicken places, with food that is amazing, delicious, and absolutely delivers. The fried chicken is crispy, flavorful, and oh so crispy, with standout flavors including the Matcho King, Fried Hot, Bburinkle, and Hot Bburinkle. The Matcho King wings are insane, one of the best things eaten in LA, with great flavor that is pretty mild despite its appearance. The Hot Bburinkle has a nice spicy kick. A whole plate loaded with cheese and fried chicken is insanely good. Sides are also excellent; the radish served pairs perfectly with all of the food. The cheese balls are a favorite, lightly crispy with a mochi-like interior and great texture, though some note they are sweet. The Rosé Tteokbokki is a solid side. They also have $3 draft beers on Thursdays and Fridays.
The restaurant has a clean, simple space with indoor seating and a small patio. Prices are fair, especially when sharing a platter. Parking is a little challenging and is pay to park. Service experiences vary; it can be great, attentive, and handled well during a rush, with servers described as kind. However, service can sometimes be less friendly and attentive, with slow moments potentially due to large carryout orders, leading to long waits and inattentiveness like missing water for spicy food. Despite this, it is absolutely worth trying, a solid spot, and many plan to return, potentially opting for carry out to ensure enough time. Overall, BHC Chicken really hit the spot.
