Finally tried this place and was so disappointed. Ribs were the only good thing. Macaroni was a ball of garlic tasting miss mush. Didn't have 1 single whole noodle. Coleslaw was spoiled and rancid. Red beans and rice had no taste except a hint of sweetness. That garlic cornbread pancake was a dry and hard. Too much garlic in everything.

Weren’t her to try the etouffe and came back home opened the box and greeted with a treat of hot water cornbread!

It's a very small location with a lot of love inside the person that cooks the food. And once a place came out and greeted us and talked to us, she was so amazing. Their food is so good. I mean, there's enough for 2 servings. There is outside stadium and you go to the back. And you order by the screen door that's in the back of the parking lot and then there's a big tent and back where you sit and you eat your food.We will definitely be going again. You gotta go early or you'll miss out on mac and greens like we did. Bbq beans were like candy the ribs and rib tips are sooooo good !! Nice home cookin !!

This is a great black owned business if you’re looking for some awesome Louisiana style food this is a great place to check out. The service is amazing and the food!!!🤤🤤 even better😋. I highly recommend it’s a 10 out of 10 you can’t go wrong & when you order your food don’t forget to grab one of their drinks🥤. They’re off the chain. My favorite is the swamp water and the blue Bayou. Check them out when you get a chance. we appreciate the home-cooked meals, Amari & Ms Lois.

Parking: It’s located on a street that can get busy at times. There is limited parking on the establishments grounds but outside of that you would have to find parking on the street.

Normally, I would not post a review but I had to express my displeasure of this restaurant. I went there this past Thursday afternoon and there were only 2 people eating and I was standing there for a time to be acknowledge and I even asked the couple if it took this long to get service. Finally, the wait staff address me and I waited patiently because I was craving red beans with rice and sausage with coleslaw. I received the two items and took it home, but to my surprise the coleslaw had raisins in it. That was the first yuck. Then the next disappointment was the red beans that didn't have not one piece of sausage but had chicken in it. I have supported but will not be back not even to try the flown in catfish. Company Ordered 30 orders for us , thanksgiving plates , the food was dry, turkey dry no seasoning, no gravy , greens watered down, no seasoning, mac was straight, dressing was straight , hawaiin bread , simple , waited 2 hours for the order , The presentation was awful , spent 1300 in total ...... smh!!!!

My daughter birthday today, had to come and get her some creole soul food. The catfish grilled, with cabbage,yams,red beans and rice, mac cheese and potatoes salad. All good and the sweet potato cheesecake delicious. This was my 5th time coming. Great place, Great people

I came here today and order oxtails but saw gumbo was on the menu !! It didn’t take long at all for my orders to be ready. I got in the car and opened my plate up….The oxtails was soft and seasoned so good. My sides were amazing… the gumbo took me back to my childhood. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The roux and the crab legs was EVERYTHING Thank you !!!

I ordered the gumbo, It was so good I swear everything in it was good ive never seen so many shrimp, and crablegs in one bowl, it tasted just like the way my grandmother use to make I'm eating the rest now at work. I will be back.
