I'm not a local and no kind of hipster. This is one of the most comfortable bars I've ever sat in and it makes me wish I lived in town and not in another state. The decor is exactly my tempo, the service is sharp, and the drinks do their jobs. This will be a regular visit whenever life brings me to LA.

Matt was absolutely rude and made both drinks wrong. Complained when he had to refund a drink made incorrectly.

My dad and I love going almost every Friday to just have a couple of drinks, chat about our week, and enjoy the cozy atmosphere Bigfoot has to offer. And almost all of that is Erin the bartender's doing. She provides wonderful customer service, is lovely to talk to, and checks with us to make sure our drinks taste good. It feels like our neighborhood bar when we go because Erin makes it feel welcoming, charming, and comfortable. Seldom do I come across a bar in Los Angeles that checks all those boxes, including an unbeatable happy hour. I'm always in Atwater. I'll go to the Village Bakery for breakfast, Hugos or Tacos Villa Corona for lunch, Crispy Crust or Indochien Vien for dinner, etc. But if I want a place to just chill out and have a good drink, I'll go to Bigfoot. Thank you Erin!

Great happy hour menu. Stopped in on a Wednesday (i think, maybe Tuesday) and it was trivia night. Fun event but for sure need a bigger group to really compete with everyone. Drinks are solid & prices are amazing for LA. Service can be a bit slow but nothing outrageous. Perfect spot for a quick beer or two.

A safe haven from LA. If Erin is working treat yourself to an Old Fashioned, you won't regret it.

"I felt like we were out of LA" - The first thing my friend said after we left lol. I joked and told her it felt like we were in Mt. Baldy or Big Bear. Bigfoot Lodge is a cool, unique bar and it has a solid happy hour menu. $8 for a Moscow mule? I'm down I love mountains so I absolutely loved the theme and decor of this bar. It was fun feeling like you were in the forest, even though you're still in the city! The bartender (didn't catch her name, but she had really pretty, long hair) was cool and my friend and I were happy with the drinks she made us. Moscow mule -- 8/10. Was a pleasant sipper since it wasn't too strong, but I definitely felt a nice buzz toward the end of my drink They have themed nights here depending on the day of the week. Karaoke on Monday, bluegrass band on Tuesday, etc

Such a cool underrated dive bar. The drinks are fairly cheap and you really won't see a bar like this anywhere else in Los Angeles.

Cookie cutter LA hipsters. bleh... I love dive bars anywhere else. a true dive bar where you can go alone and end the night with new friends. this place is so damn cliquey, it's like high school. no fun, not exactly diverse, just very LA crowd pretentious.

I love seeing the blue grass musicians on Tuesday nights for their weekly bluegrass night. The reason I give 2 stars is because the lady bartender is a complete b word, or c word if your European. The first time I came to this bar was to see the band play. When I went to the bar to get a drink I asked what beers they had and the bartender flipped out on me cuz I didn't know what I wanted. There was no menu and no signs with the beer listed. When she came back I said just give me a beer, because I didn't know what beer they had, and she flipped out on me again. I went to the other side of the bar and the guy told me what beers they had and served me a beer. Since coming here I've been avoiding her and getting beers from the other side of the bar. But tonight, there are a lot of people, and I knew what beer I wanted. When she finally saw me, she said "I'm not serving you, you can go to the other side of the bar to order". Completely unprofessional. The lady bartender is trash don't give her your time, from other reviews I've read the other bartender isn't good either but has been good to me. I wouldn't go here for the service, but the bluegrass music is phenomenal.

Hate leaving negative reviews, but terrible first experience. Rude female bartender who decided a tequila neat meant to add ice, lime, and salt directly into my drink ?‍♂️

LOVE the big foot lodge. Always such a great vibe and the English bar lady (i want to say her name is Rosie) is so funny and honestly exudes this awesome positivity about her one of the main reasons i love this place. Hands down best lemon drop martini I've ever had. Always come here when friends come into town just to show them this little gem!
