bitch i’m lowkey

Dined here on 5/9/26. I noticed the menu changed. We ordered Manuela’s and Cajun pasta. The plates and portions drastically. The Cajun pasta was too overwhelming with way too much Cajun seasoning that it even had salt around the plate. When we gave feedback, the supervisor was nice enough to only charge me for the chicken hence that was the only thing I ate off the Cajun pasta. Not good and won’t be coming back

Food was an excellent blend of flavors and huge portions for the right price point. We were a walk in, waited at the bar and got drinks then got seated promptly.

It's a VERY loud atmosphere, between the TV in the bar, the semi-open kitchen and the large party with unruly kids behind us (I was hoping the server, manager or hostess would have said something to this party after one of the kids continuously kept throwing his sippy cup in our direction but they just kept allowing them to act however they wanted). If you're looking for quiet and intimate, I'd go elsewhere.

I’ve been to this location before and had a great experience. My last visit I ordered food to go. I ordered the chicken lasagna (which I’ve had before) and it was not correct, at all. They made me regular lasagna, but removed the beef and added chicken. This is not what’s on the menu. Also, as someone who loves tres leches, I was very disappointed in theirs. It was not very tasty and a little dry. I didn’t finish either. It was also very expensive for the food to not be up to par. I spent over $60 and was not happy with my meal. The Shirley temple was the only thing good. Better luck next time I guess.

Food is below average. I would not get the pasta, noodles are consistently undercooked by ~30seconds. The cajun pasta specifically is a dupe from a popular chain but done poorly. Happy hour is decent. Mac and cheese balls are good, love the grilled shrimp appetizer as well. truffle Pizza was mid.

The portion sizes are HUGE, the temperature of the food was spot on, and the taste was immaculate. The service was also very great. Angie was our waitress and she was so patient, answered all of our questions, and made amazing food recommendations.

I had such a great experience at Bossa Nova! Our server was amazing super friendly, attentive, and made us feel really taken care of the whole time. She was on top of everything without being overbearing, and her energy honestly made the whole vibe better. It’s rare to get service like that these days. Definitely coming back because of her!

Great place with experienced staff. Enjoyed the food. Everything was super flavorful and the sausage was super juicy and yummy.

Nice little spot and good for dates.

Had a birthday party once had a pleasant experience with family, food was great without issue.

Called ahead the second time and was told to wait to be seated. Once there clearly made contact with servers about waiting to be sat down. However, my party was skipped in favor of another group that just arrived.

When I asked, server was rude and did not attempt to acknowledge skipping my party. That alone made the visit very unpleasant and not eat at restaurant.

Preferential bias to customers isn't a good thing especially considering the environment socially among customers.

The food looks a little appetizing but never in my life will I ever visit this restaurant, I just walked in and tried to get a feel to order something but I saw how rude the servers are. Better restaurants in downtown LA

So delicious. Came here for a fist date. Date wasn’t as good, but the dinner made up for what my date did.
