This is a tough review to write. I really want to love this place. The food is different and delicious but there are serious gaps in the service. The last two times I've been here the service started out great and then we were ghosted. No check-in to refill coffee or sell me another beverage (which I was absolutely planning to purchase), my companion had to go to the host station to get something, we had to order our second drink a second time when it didn't come after we first ordered it, we had to flag down a server to get our check. Plus the server who brought us that second drink seemed put out when we (politrly, I thought) brought it to their attention that we had been waiting. I don't expect a red carpet, but I do expect attentive service at this price point.

i feel really bad leaving this review cause the staff was really nice but all the food tasted like it was freshly removed from the dead sea and then rolled around on a utah salt flat. This includes the desserts (which lowkey tasted like the milk products had spoiled too). the acoustics in the main dining area were absolutely atrocious, the portions were extremely small (which imo was a blessing) and about 72% of my plate was garish (at least i assume so, it was chunky, slimy, stalky, salty greens that slithered down my throat). I usually would not leave a bad review on a local establishment but our bill for our party of two was $136 which is egregious for the quality of the items.

Great little bistrot, problem when ordering wine as when they don’t have the one you picked from Italy or France and they offer an Austrian wine which we declined ( if you know anything about the wine we chose , one cannot possibly propose an Austrian choice ) and sommelier took offense and didn't want to serve us any other bottle. One should not have such a big Ego and still make their customer happy ? We ended up continuing on cocktails !

As a local, Botanica is absolutely a neighborhood gem. I often take visitors from out of town here when they visit, for a taste of fresh, exciting California-Mediterranean cuisine. It’s always delicious, the ambience is magical, and the service is spot-on. The little market in the front is also super handy when you need a good bottle of wine or healthy snacks in a pinch! One word of warning: the servers auto-set the card reader to give a 22% tip, which is sadly trashy.

Beautiful restaurant, plant forward menu. Portions on the slightly smaller side so be prepared, but the quality of food was incredible.

Light, healthy, and in-season deliciousness :)The food was delicious! I love that they change their menu frequently depending on the season. To me, it's why their vegetables feel so fresh and organic. Most of their options are vegetarian based but they have a few meat options such as a burger. If you're extremely hungry and prefer something large and heavy, I would go with the burger. The dishes I ordered were perfectly light and healthy for someone who is medium hungry. The restaurant itself is really cute! Has indoor and outdoor seating with heat lamps. The service was also nice and attentive. Overall a great dinner spot :)

The portions were quite small for what they want to charge. Surprised to get a “wellness charge” on top of already an expensive menu and then tipping on top… will avoid in the future.

I had the spicy carrot dip with bread, and it was amazing! Pricing is a bit on the high end but it's a cute little place to hang out with friends!

Botanica is so cute. My friend recommended the Turkish eggs and they were SO flavorful. Just a perfect light breakfast. Staff was warm and friendly and the little shop in front is full of little delights and wines by the bottle. Will definitely be going back.

What an absolute gem! Went here with a friend for brunch and we had the best time. We got the shakshuka, the cake for breakfast and the trout gravlax, all were delicious but the standout was the trout! We were definitely bummed the strawberry and ricotta tartine wasn't on the menu anymore. Great service, super cute inside with lots of different seating options available. Love the store in the front too. All in all a great spot in Silver Lake!
