BOUKA'S JAMAICAN RESTAURANT Reviews
Today I discovered the curry shrimp. It was awesome! It might be my new favorite! My husband enjoyed the Curry Goat. We also got some patties for later. We had enough on our plates to have leftovers! That means we will get to enjoy our food again.
I have been here numerous times and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is always hitting like it’s supposed to. It’s definetly one of my go to’s for Jamaican food.
Omg I don't even know how to describe how happy I am to find this spot just driving by! I love Jamaican food so much and it's been so hard for us to find a good spot in West Coast. I got the oxtail and it was divine! So flavorful! The place is so clean and such a vibe! I can't wait to go back and now I don't have to keep begging my husband to cook it!

BOUKA'S JAMAICAN RESTAURANT, located in the Mid City area, offers a taste of authentic Jamaican cuisine that makes you forget you're in LA. The oxtail is a must-try, with some customers noting that when cooked well, it features tender meat and is flavorful, although there have been mixed reviews on seasoning. The ambiance is calm and cool, perfect for dining in, with flat screens for entertainment. Many customers praise the top-tier customer service, but some feedback suggests that the cashier could be more attentive to first-time visitors. Vegetarian options are available, such as the Veggie plate, Spinach, and Rasta pasta. Parking is convenient right in front, and the restaurant is kid-friendly with a nice interior and good music.
The food is described as excellent, with dishes like Curry chicken, rice & peas, plantains, Jerk Chicken, Bar-B-Fried Wings, Jerk Shrimp Pasta, and Ackee & Saltfish being full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Customers have enjoyed the Curry goat and mentioned the beef patties as fresh and tasty. The drinks, such as Pine & Ginger, Fruit Punch, and Sorrel, are refreshing and delicious. The Rum Cake is the perfect way to end the meal. Some customers suggest the restaurant should start accepting credit cards and EBT to increase sales, while others recommend that employees handling food frequently wash their hands and wear gloves. Overall, it remains a popular spot for those seeking delicious Jamaican food.
