Broken Shaker at Freehand Los Angeles

Had changed my reservation to 10pm since I had seen online that they were supposed to close at 12 that day. We get their & ordered our drinks & like 20min later it was last call. We shouldn't have even been able to make a reservation with them closing at 11... We didn't order food since they stop serving it earlier which is a big thumbs down, but the ambiance was really cool. If you can get there earlier I would recommend it though.

Servers were very judgmental. Even laughed at me for wanting to remove somthing from my order. The food was nasty and overly expensive the drinks were around $30 that's expensive for one drink in a short glass. The view was nice though. Also the menu was very limited.

$42 for two overly sweet daiquiris made with well rum, served in plastic cups.

Only had the French fries, and definitely I feel you never can never go wrong with French fries. Never order the espresso martini here! They were disgusting!! Our waitress only checked on us once in an hour and 25 minutes. She was not friendly. However the atmosphere was amazing from the rooftop. This place definitely needs to not include the automatic. gratuity as I think 18% is completely taking advantage of the situation. Be aware you don’t have a choice they automatically include it, and this waitress was definitely not worth it!! Owner/GM/Manager/Supervisor reconsider gratuity policy. Staff has no incentive to provide outstanding service. That’s what a tip is for.

During happy hours, prices are decent.
Food is alright, nothing fancy but good portions.
Service is a bit strange, a huge difference of treatment if you don't look like a billionaire.
During the day pool and bar should be separated, you can't relax with someone asking every 5 min if you want to order.
Tips and tax included that's nice.

The place is absolutely magical and the cocktails are quality but I didn't like the way the waiters took our credit card to give themselves tips of their choice.

It's a rooftop bar in a hotel, so there were hardly any people there. It was still great, but the service was a little unfriendly

Great for a bday celebration! Heaters came on and helped with chilly night. Lights are beautiful! Fun music!

Stayed on property and went there for two nights in a row. Service is the worse. Staff won't come to you and yet, gratuity is included? Second night they decided to close early beavuse they were not making money. Imagine if you had a business and staff would decide so just like that. I really do not recommend stopping by.

For almost 25 dollars per cocktail you can probably expect more than 0.4l glasses filled to the brim with ice and a bit of cocktail.
Credit card would be retained as a "deposit" (???) when ordering... if asked, it would probably have to be that way... when paying, the bill was created without asking and a tidy tip and you had to accept that.

The view and feel at Broken Shaker is fabulous, but the service is slow and lacking. The server took a bit to long to take our orders then was not good at keeping our glasses refilled. The price is a little high but honestly would have spent more if they were quicker to check on us and take our orders. The whole process is a little sad since they limit the time you are allowed to stay! Food is just average.

I was robbed here last night. My Prada purse was right by my side, and after spending $300 on the bill, I thought it was a reputable place. However, it seems that either the staff or other customers are stealing, so I recommend avoiding dining or drinking here. I have an AirTag inside and saw it leave the location while I was there.
