Arrived at 8:30 they weren’t serving food anymore. Beautiful setting horrible servers. The waiter was catty and closed off half the sitting area at 9 which was the beauty part. Waste
Fast service and a small intimate vibe. Love this place.
Made a last minute reservation here. Really cool vibe, beautiful space. Food is def overpriced for the portion/quality, it just wasn't very good. Sangria was really yummy though. You're paying for the ambience.
Great experience! The drink menu is so fun and the staff was incredibly nice. Great rooftop DTLA views, can’t wait to get back and hit the pool
Another vibe food was good having a burger definitely a place I would love to dj
We wanted to eat at a place with a view of the city that had a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the bar since it was just thentwo of us. The bar tender was attentive and helpful. We ordered the curry shrimp skewers, the fish tacos, the chicken sandwich, and some fried plantains. Overall, the food was good. The tacos had a great flavor, and the chicken sandwich was delicious (the slaw is what makes it). However, for $18, you only get two tacos. The shrimp skewers were bland. They lacked more curry flavor or flavor at all. I asked the bartender if the plantains were green or ripe (tostone style, salty, or maduro, sweet). She said sweet, but they were actually green. And for $5, you only get three. Skip them. For drinks, we got one of their tequila cocktails and glass white wine. Overall, stick with the burger or chicken sandwich. A lot of people ordered the burger, and it looked good. Come here for the views and drinks, not so much the food. It's way overpriced, and it's hit or miss.
Cute rooftop bar. Only had drinks here.
I love this rooftop bar , the views and atmosphere are amazing . I can’t wait to go back and visit again this summer to enjoy the pool and the great cocktails.
$120 for 4 drinks and 2 of the drinks were non alcoholic 😂 I had no idea a bar can have hidden fees, what a rip off. They charge svc fee and health fees, half the bill in fees plus taxes and tip. This was a rip off and very unexpected no signs or notices of the hidden fees . I do not recommend this place the drinks are disappointing and the fees are a killer
Leo the bartender was great at mixing our drinks and made every drink feel special, even when we wanted basic stuff. Very thoughtful and all around great vibes

If you’re looking for a rooftop bar with a killer view of downtown LA, Broken Shaker is the spot. The vibe here is laid-back yet stylish, with colorful decor, twinkling lights, and a pool that adds to the atmosphere. Whether you come during the day to soak up the sun or at night to take in the city skyline, the setting is hard to beat.
The drinks are solid—creative, refreshing, and well-balanced. Whether you’re into tropical cocktails or something with a little spice, there’s something on the menu for you. The presentation is also on point, with fresh herbs and unique garnishes that make each drink feel special.
Food-wise, they have some great bites to go along with your drinks. The chips and salsa hit the spot, and there are a few other options worth trying if you’re feeling snacky. It’s not necessarily a full-on dining experience, but it definitely complements the drinks well.
Overall, Broken Shaker is one of the best rooftop bars in LA for a relaxed yet fun night out. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s worth checking out for the views alone—but the drinks and vibe will make you want to stay.
The place is cozy and nice, nothing fancy. We just ordered from the bar and the drinks were awful. Even basic drinks like dirty martini tasted different and weird.
Didn’t have draft or even crown? Ended up overpaying for cheap wine and the pool is only 3 feet deep
I found it really weird that you claim to be a cocktailbar but can't change tequila for mezcal. In my opinion the cocktail would have taste better with mezcal. You don't even have to create your own cocktailrecipe. Asking 18 dollar for a cocktail and have 18 procent service charge on top of that and don't get me started on the health insurance fee. All together made a total of 24 dollar per cocktail. For that amount of money I expected more then a bartender chilling around doing nothing. (It wasn't busy at all.)
