Sorry to say I had a bad experience here at Byrdie’s. Dropped in with a friend to get a couple of fried chicken sandwiches and basically they were as hard as shoe leather and the buns were extra crispy/burnt. The kitchen was super busy, making orders for delivery and takeout and we were the only two people in the restaurant. Was super disappointed as the meal was absolutely flavorless and as we were the only two who are dining in the restaurant , the meal wasn’t hot. Bad overall experience.

Food was delicious. I rated 3 stars on service only because one of the employees was sampling and preparing food with no gloves on. That's so disgusting!!!!! I felt like I was at the Waffle House when I seen the employee sampling food.

I was desperately hungry and decided to eat here. Turns out... we were pleasantly surprised. The broccolini was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender. Definitely one of the best rotisserie spots! I definitely want to come back to try the sides and sauces. Also, fast and great service.

If they are able to convince suckers to pay them $30 for half a chicken, then more power to them 😅
As a native Angeleno, I know the best chicken spots in the city - 10x the flavor and half the price of this absurd place.

There are street vendors that have cleaner tables than Byrdie's !
And if their chicken is marinated for 24 hours, how is it that it lacks any flavor?!

Nothing about this place makes sense.

Bydies Rotisserie Chicken by Bacari has become one of my absolute go to spots when I want something consistently delicious and fresh. The rotisserie chicken itself is excellent and you can taste the quality right away. I usually go for the chicken sandwich which is made with pulled rotisserie chicken on a really good bun. It has that balance of being hearty and satisfying without feeling too heavy. I have tried the spicy chicken version and it was a bit too spicy for me, but the staff was more than happy to give me the spicy sauce on the side so I can add just the right amount of heat. That kind of flexibility is exactly why I keep coming back.

Stephanie, who works the register, is always so friendly and helpful. She makes the ordering process smooth and welcoming which really sets the tone for the whole experience. The side dishes are also excellent and worth mentioning. Whether you go for the potatoes, vegetables, or other sides, they are all fresh and pair perfectly with the chicken. Even the desserts are standouts. The chocolate chip cookie is a must try and feels like the perfect sweet finish after a savory meal.

Overall this place just delivers on every front. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The staff is consistently friendly, the service is quick, and the menu is straightforward in the best way. It is an easy choice for lunch or dinner when you want something that feels both comforting and elevated. Definitely a five star neighborhood staple that I recommend often.

Ordered a build your own bowl and chose “Broccolini,” which, although not stated anywhere within the “build your own” order screen, comes with almonds. I am severely allergic to nuts, called after picking up to see if the bowl could be remade, and was told I could only receive a 25% discount on a new order. Food is great; manager, not so much.

It's really too slow for what it is--a fast casual restaurant. I don't blame the workers--I think they are understaffed.

yall byrdie’s is my go time chicken spot on the west side. i went once and then forgot the name and thought it was calif chicken cafe and i went there and was so sad because calif chicken is nowhere as good as byrdie’s. whenever im craving some rotisserie and trying to grub down on a delicious bowl i get the mediterranean bowl and i am always so happy the flavor the veggies it has it all

Where else can you score a whole rotisserie chicken and a full lineup of killer sides? Only at Byrdies—where the roast is so juicy it’ll have you drooling your dignity away. That golden-skinned chicken? A masterpiece. The sides? Finger-lickin’ legends. Personally, I’m obsessed with the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower (yes, veggies can slap). Pro tip: don’t skip the dips. Aji verde or chipotle? Chef’s kiss. Get it all. Thank me later.

The vibe? Think cozy, no-frills diner—tiny but charming. The service is sweet and chill. But here’s your warning: come early. The chicken goes fast, and once it’s gone, you’re either waiting… or weeping.

Great rotisserie chicken. Truffle Mac and cheese is delicious and same goes for the brocollini!
