This continues to be a consistent and predictable place to dine. The prices are a bit on the high side, but recognizing the logistical and other complications of functioning in this location (and that admission to the museum continues to be without charge), the "value proposition" seems quite in place. The view is marvelous, and the tranquility (inside the restaurant or provided by the pleasant gaze) is highly-valued. The meals are sufficiently prepared and well-served...
The restaurant at the Getty is a beautiful space and obviously in a marvelous location. We truly enjoyed our Easter lunch there. If I had one suggestion I would say that they need to have more healthy choices on the menu. I will definitely be back though. It's hard to find more beautiful surroundings!
Service was fair at best. We had to ask for everything. Food came out quickly. The warm popovers were cold, the short rib hash was overcooked, and not tender. The chocolate dessert was a deconstructed mess. Food was expensive for the quantity. I loved the restaurant a couple of years ago. I will not go back.
