I know that America is known for our large portions but I truly have never seen anything like this. It is not possible for one human being to eat this at all. Let alone in one sitting. I do not know how this restaurant has not ended up on some version of Man VS. Food. Portions aside, this is actually a really delicious breakfast. The coffee was good, the staff was kind. It's clearly an old place but has maintained all its charm and the portions and the price are great. One thing I can guarantee is you will have leftovers

For brunch we went to “The Griddle Cafe” located at 7916 Sunset Blvd in the city of Hollywood CA 90046 phone number (323) 378-6311. My nephew, D’Artagnan had told me about this spot many years ago. If you want to call and get a table, don’t bother, they do not take reservations it’s first come first serve. Their hours are Wednesday-Sunday 8am-3pm. When we arrived our wait time was approximately 15 minutes. The items of choice were: French-Pressed Coffee with Bailey's Irish Cream Baby (yummy) coffee lovers will truly enjoy. Strawberries and Cream Waffle Topped With Strawberries and Brown Sugar Sour Cream. BLUESberry Pancakes The said You'll Hit The Right Note with 3 Blueberry huge filled Original pancakes that are topped with Blueberry Sour Cream. They are so big that they flopped over the entire plate. 3 people shared them and could not finish the plate. I was told they were okay but not very flavorful. Eggs with Griddle Potatoes cooked to perfection with cheese, cheese and more cheese. Chicago Charlie Scramble Italian Sausage, Potatoes, Bacon, Bell Peppers, Mozzarella Cheese, Garlic, Basil and lots of Onions and a side of Chicken Breast. Good place to bring the family.

Fantastic breakfast choices and a classic American diner cafe that is 100% service all the way. The Black Sunset needs to be shared as huge and all allergies and vegan choices can be accommodated. The place is right on Sunset Blvd. Definitely try visiting when in LA.

I highly recommend trying dishes that include potatoes, as well as their pancakes—they are a real treat for the taste buds. However, do keep in mind that the restaurant is located in a small building, and during busy times like rush hour on a Saturday, it can get quite noisy. This might make it a bit challenging to have conversations with fellow diners.

The food is absolutely foul and inedible. Uncooked, stale. In an unsanitary ghost kitchen

Wonderful views, 10/10 decor and great food! This cafe has arguably the best location of any restaurant in LA. You probably will have to wait 2 hours+ but it is worth it. Make sure to get the pancakes because the portions are huge. The staff are lovely too. I strongly recommend this place for brunch!

Yes, it's a ghost kitchen. I've tried a few things from here and some of the menu items are just okay but MAN OH MAN the rustic cheese and egg sourdough sandwich is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. I've ordered it half a dozen times and it is always excellent. Gooey gruyere and cheddar cheese, a generous layer of sweet caramelized onions, a fluffy moist egg, a slathering of aioli between two pieces of slightly crispy fresh sourdough bread...Y U U M M M M. The beignet doughnut American is also so f*cking good... It's like if a pb&j sandwich had a baby with a fried doughnut... And I am obsessed with that crispy sweet & savory love child. Those two items are the only thing I order from there and I highly recommend them. I love how late they're open for delivery, they are probably my favorite choice for remedying the late night munchies. Godspeed

Excellent pancakes and breakfast options! Exceptionally tasty pancakes; ham was also requested. We enjoyed the food, the drinks, and definitely the ambiance!

We came here for an all American breakfast experience , and we were not disappointed! The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful! Tap water was provided on arrival, and shortly afterwards we were offered coffee. The menu was extensive, featuring a wide range of pancakes, French toast, eggs and more! The portion sizes were absolutely huge - more than enough food, and they even let you take home the leftovers if you want! We felt relaxed, welcome and comfortable at all times - would really recommend eating at the counter! 10/10 would recommend!!

Again we tried the griddle cafe to see if this experience would be better than last time as the pancakes are really good . Unfortunately once again the culinary experience is spoiled by the service and the temperature inside ( still freezing ) As to the staff you are explained although you enter number 2 in the cafe that it’s normal that the 15 party that came after are served before you…. Inefficient staff

Please take warning this is the biggest sham of a named business. The French Toast is not anything special, there is very little flavor beyond a standard vanilla or splash of nutmeg. when we ordered fruit for an extra $$ it never showed and when we called in Kim the supervisor actually acknowledged she knew but sent it out and was first hoping on the off chance we would forget or going to wait for us to call in to complain. What company operated with that fwd facing policy.

This is not a real restaurant. It is a fake name inside a ghost kitchen called Cheebo. The "Strawberry Preserve" is actually just diner to go Smuckers Jelly. The maple syrup for the "gourmet" French toast is smuckers "breakfast syrup." Hashbrowns were burned as was the salmon. Don't be fooled by the "French cafe" appearance, this is nothing special.

Good French pressed coffee, and good but very oversized portions. We walked up the hill from Loews. Our service was good but can imagine them getting overwhelmed.

We ate at the Yamashiro location and it was excellent! We arrived right when they opened (highly recommended because they get very busy and the line gets long). Food was so good and the view was beautiful. Staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return!! Outside seating.
