Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches were delicious. Kinda expensive but the portions were large so it’s worth it for sure.

Very disappointed. Not so much in the quality of the food, but the service. I made a delivery order for a French dip sandwich. There was no juice/dip included. If the juice was put on the sandwich, which ruins the idea of it being a dip, then they definitely did not put enough on. I don't think I'll order from them again.

First timer. Went somewhere between 2 and 4pm. It was not crowded and the service was excellent. Friendly and attentive. I had the Belgian waffle. It was huge and delicious! The atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely coming back again!

Have been coming here since I was in my early 20’s but since moving away from the area have been craving it. I happened to be in the area and decided to stop and satisfy my craving. Got the 2 pastrami sandwich one for me and one for the Mrs who has never been here. I also got a brisket sandwich with the Cole slaw and potato salad and don’t forget the pickles. Just as I remembered them. All their bakery items sandwiches were delicious and the Mrs enjoyed it so much she ate hers and ate the other half of mine the next day. Definitely give them a try if in the area. Place is nice and staff friendly.

This place is absolutely magical. It was like walking into my Jewish grandmother's house the second we got through the front door. The smells, the bakery options, and then you get the menu and there are so many options to choose from. I had to get the classics my grandma makes like matzo ball soup, a hot potato kinish, and a brisket sandwich. The matzo ball is exactly what it should be where it didn't have much just the matzo ball soup and broth, no extra stuff like noodles and carrots. It was spot on and me saying that it's pretty close if not better than my grandma's matzo ball soup is a hard thing to accomplish! My brisket sandwich was amazing especially with some of their deli mustard on top. I haven't had a good kinish (my grandma doesn't really make them anymore) since I've worked at my first jewish nursing home job which was more than 10 years ago. It literally made my eyes open as wide as possible it was that good. When we were ordering it, the server said, "would you like gravy with it"? ABSOLUTELY, GRAVY ON A KINISH? PLEASE SIGN ME UP, YES YES YES. Wow, that whole meal was something I will always remember when my wife and I visited LA.
That's not it though! Their dessert area has a lot of fantastic selections. My wife got a chocolate dipped horn and I got a poppy seed rugelach. Both were just perfect and hit the spot when we were heading out.
Was able to get parking on the left side of the building or there was enough street parking, bathrooms were good, everything was so affordable ($30 for all that food for two people) and the dining area is beautiful (especially the ceiling). Congrats to Canter's for it's roots and where it has come to this day! That was an amazing experience. Where is the 10 star button on Google reviews?

We stopped going to Canter's nearly eight years ago following horrible service and bad food. While dining-in, we had a horrible server and the Manager, Amy, was fuel to the fire. Following that experience, we made it a point to never go to Canter's or order delivery from Canter's.
Fast forward eight years later, we made the bold move and ordered for delivery the other day. We ordered the Matzo Ball Soup, Potato Kinish and Corned Beef Scramble Pancake Style. The failed to include the Corned Beef; it was just scrambled eggs although the reciept clearly stated Corned Beef Scramble. We were so pissed, we decided to never order from Canter's again.
This morning at approximately 5:10 am, I decided to attempt to dine-in and see if it would be any different. The moment I walked in, Dana informed me to sit anywhere I would like. The service was excellent. Dana was very fast, accurate, communicative and provided excellent service. That's a far cry from our last few experiences. I ordered the Corned Beef Scramble again. It was good. It is because of Dana that we will give Canter's another try. It was so sad seeing this place go downhill over the years. I really miss the days when Bella, Jeanie and the older crowd were around.
