I love coming here and grabbing my cold brew before starting my day. My favorite baristas are Miguel & Marz! It's usually quiet and security is on top of things.
I also want to give a special shoutout to these team members who always exhibit friendliness and professionalism:
- Moe
- Richard
- Ash
- Autumn
- Bryan
- Maurice
- Madis

I’m very disappointed with my visit today. I’ve been here many times before and always enjoyed the experience, but this time the service was unexpectedly rude. The cashier with red hair dismissed my concern when I mentioned that our drink tasted bad and asked for a replacement. She responded, “You already drank it,” without making any effort to understand the problem.
She also commented that she couldn’t understand me because of my English or accent, which was hurtful and made me feel uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, my friend and I decided to leave, and we won’t be returning. This location lost two loyal customers today.

TLDR: For people seeking study cafes, don't come here. The vibes suck. Hilltop nearby is nice for working, or even the public library for really heads-down work. I've had the best luck in Ktown; I really like Alchemist!
Warning that the staff here are unusually rude. I highly recommended C1 cafes for studying to my friend and we went together, as I'd had wonderful experiences at other branches (especially in Santa Monica and SF!!). However, the staff here are curt, uncaring, scrutinizing, and honestly the biggest turnoff from working at the cafe, despite the space & 1/2 off coffee being decent enough. I was genuinely shocked given how lovely the other branches are.
They don't allow you to even step a single foot in the empty nook - which I totally understand if you're overstepping someone else's reservation, but I wasn't even allowed to borrow the empty nook while it wasn't reserved for an urgent 10 minute call. I was a little desperate and polite about it but there was absolutely no wiggle room. I noticed that the room stayed open and unused for a while afterwards, but they fully kicked me and my friend off the premises... for trying to use an unused service, even for just a short time 🥲I'm trying to rationalize their strict demands by wondering if it's due to their location in DTLA, which is a little crappy in and of itself, but I guess I could get that from a business perspective.
If I weren't a returning customer of C1 cafes, this would honestly tarnish C1 entirely for me, even beyond the cafes, and I swear I'm not dramatizing this. I'll likely still visit the Santa Monica branch when I'm in the area, but will stay far, far away from this location.

Staff was very helpful when I needed assistance to pay a bill. I stayed for coffee and it was absolutely delicious. Roasted but not burned if you know what I mean. Everything is clean. The people are friendly. The atmosphere inside it upbeat and a nice change of pace compared to the rush of other coffee shops I have been too. What I truly love is the convenience of being able to pay my card in person and how helpful the banking staff are. It’s definitely a perk-me-up kind of place. I came in exhausted and tired and am leaving refreshed.

I like Capital One Cafe. But, this sketchy location was not so likable. Unfriendly staff. No access to their usual conference rooms. Employees on their phones using social media during company time. Lack of restroom access. I ordered a large drink and they gave me a small drink and wouldn’t change it.

So WholeFoods had a POS fiasco so I cant get my much loved, ultra-robust iced-Americano so I finally come here, finally to utilize my Cap-card coffee benefit and... (loser buzzer) I get zoinked here as well, for real. Like they were hesitant to even let me in and I was sufficiently dapper-dressed. Seriously irked. Next time Capital One Cafe...😈

Idk who is in charge of cleaning here but I cleaned the book room while I was hair it was hair in the chairs. Then inside the moby I cleaned two tables while hear. I first sat at table where there was no plug and wiped it then the Clorox wipes next to the ambassadors. I then moved next to a table where there was a plug and wiped that also while the ambassadors just stood there talking. Also the music was a little loud. I was still able to hear it clearly in the private nook room or with the door closed. I mean its not a library so I guess. This is my second time coming here. On my first impression I did really care for the service I received but I decided to come again to give a second try. All and all not that bad of a place just not for me.

The Capital One associates are very friendly and professional. Security is a big focus there when applying for cards and accounts. The Cafe serves a nice variety of drinks and food. The environment is very bright and clean :)

The staff taking drink orders are noticeably less friendly compared to those preparing the drinks or handling card transactions. Also, the system of taking all orders at once and making them all at once seems in need of improvement. When everything suddenly stops for around 15 minutes, it feels even longer from the customers’ perspective.
