The service was great and so was the view, but if your hungry definitely don't rely on the portions. I ordered the steak and I finished it in two bites. It only had spinach as the side and I felt like it was missing some mash potatoes or something. I also ordered the crab roll and it also had spinach as the side lol. Everything was okay but not great.

The overall vibe was great! It has a nice view and the staff is very nice. The food was mid, after my friend and I ate here our stomachs hurt. If you want a nice view and drinks only I'd say this is a good spot.

Went here for a date. The vibes were great! The hangover burger and the crab pasta were AMAZING. Also got chili drink (idk what it is called) and an purple paradise (i think) both were amazing. OH! The mushroom focaccia was SO good. Recommend for a date.

Beautiful setting - best rooftop dining experience in DTLA in my opinion. Service was great. My squash and chorizo focaccia was tasty. The wagyu brisket tacos were extremely fatty - my friend was disappointed and really should have sent them back. We were there for a bday and they surprised the bday girl with a delicious little zucchini cake. I would definitely return. :)

Our server was incredible-sorry I don't remember her name! She handled half our party arriving late (always annoying🙄) with ease, asked everyone about allergies and suggested subs/mods-all while there was a three ring circus of influencers and full tables eating, moving around and taking pictures against the skyline. Perfect spot to eat with friends before a show at the Belasco!

Located on the roof of the Proper Hotel, Cara Cara was a lovely time for dinner. It was a bit windy & cold - but there are heaters available. I tried their Mac & cheese, cauliflower tacos & cheesecake. Everything tasted great! The tacos were full of flavor and easily my favorite of the bunch. Mac & cheese was a little underwhelming and a small portion size.... I would probably opt for something else if I came back. The cheesecake tasted good but it was a bit crumbly and I prefer a creamier cheesecake. The cauliflower tacos were 5/5 though. Great serving size, good flavor, incredible. Loved the carrots on the side too. Service was fine! Views were great. Enjoyed being up high and looking at the skyscrapers & helicopters.

My husband and I decided to try Cara Cara because we were going to a concert down the street at the Orpheum. It did not disappoint! The hotel lobby itself is beautiful and when you get out of the elevator and see the view, it is breathtaking! I went with the Bronzino, which was delicious, and my husband got braised beef tacos, which he was also really happy with. The view was amazing and there was a DJ plane which definitely live end up the atmosphere. the service was also on point. We didn't have a lot of time to stay since we had to make it to our concert on time, but we definitely plan to return with more time to enjoy the beautiful view, delicious food, and super yummy drinks!

Stumbled upon this gem when going to a concert at The Orpheum (which is walking distance). The view is amazing, the ambience is beautiful, service great and all the food we tried was outstanding. We were very happy with our experience and highly recommend! It does get a little loud with a DJ but super fun.

Our waitress Megan made our visit top notch. Highly recommend her. Loved the view and the vibe.

I love the Downtown LA Proper Hotel. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites. However, having not been in around 6 months, I noticed a decline in the quality and taste of the food. Two of the shrimp in my tacos weren't cleaned and the tacos themselves lacked flavor. The burger was okay. The fries are were amazing and the Dubai Chocolate Parfait was delicious. Drinks were good too! At 7pm on a Wednesday, I did expect better service. Overall, I'm not sure I'd go back except for the view- but so many DTLA restaurants have that now.

Food was great but took a long time to get. Waited almost an hour for Mac n cheese. Drinks were delicious and the vibe was awesome. Would go again and hope for better service.

We celebrated a truly unforgettable night at Cara Cara. It was my fiancée's birthday, and earlier that day I had proposed—so this dinner was extra special. The rooftop atmosphere was magical, with stunning city views that made the evening feel like a scene from a movie. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated, and every dish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The cocktails were spot on, and the entire vibe was warm, classy, and unforgettable. Cara Cara gave us the perfect setting to end one of the most important days of our lives, and we'll always remember it. Highly recommend for anyone celebrating love, life, and milestones.

We came for Saturday lunch and loved it! Such a cute place with really good food. We tried the ceviche and wagu tacos and everyone at our table loved it. It also was not too busy and we got some good pictures of the great views
