My husband and I love Cassell's. We had stayed at Hotel Normandie many times and when we heard they were adding Cassell's downstairs we were stoked. I love the old school diner feel. You would think this place had been here since the 50's. Definitely an old school atmosphere. Service is fast, and the waiters are attentive. Burger, coke and a slice of pie. Nothing beats it.

My first experience at Cassell's blew my mind. I could not believe the amount of flavor contained in that burger. Arguably the best burger I've had in my life. Highly recommend this spot

Cassell's is always a solid spot for food. I had a tuna melt for the first time from Cassell's and I was totally hooked. They've got great indoor seating, although it's a bit dark, and their outdoor seating is nice even if it's just a few tables. Also, as delicious as their food is, it is kinda pricey which is why I've given it four stars. But still worth visiting and having a taste.

We came here with friends because it was highly rated. We had a large party and were seated right away on a late Saturday afternoon. My man and I both ordered the 1/4 LB burger. I got cole slaw and he got potato salad. The slaw was ok. The potato salad looked like mashed potatoes but was cold and had the salad flavor. Weird. You order the burger and extras like cheese and grilled onions are each an extra $1.50. So a $12 burger becomes a $15.00 burger. The burger was good but not magical. Friends had cocktails and some had milkshakes. We split a chocolate shake which was yummy. The restrooms are in the hotel next door. Street metered parking is around. We parked 3 blocks away.

Patty Melt (if you prefer the patty rare or medium rare) is really delicious. I love your bread. but it's too expensive for 1 sandwich ($18). Sweet Potato waffle fries are also very delicious but very small in weight. The amount should definitely be increased. The place is large but shabby. Actually, I was going to give 3 points because of the prices, but the waiters are very attentive and sweet.

I decided to give this place another shot after my initial 2015 experience. The first time back, it was ok....pricey for what you get...but a decent burger...but EXCELLENT onion rings. Went back again....burger super over cooked and dry. And the service was odd and chaotic. Two guys working the tables. Confused service. Mistakes in the order. Whatever. I was craving the onion rings and went back one more time..and this will be my last. On this last visit, the place was pretty empty..only a few tables occupied. Same two waiters. We asked for their delicious onion rings as a starter and burgers afterwards. The waiter just didn't seem like he was listening. As soon as the waiter was gone my friend leaned in and said, 'How much do you want to bet that the onion rings will just come over with the burgers?" I gave them benefit of the doubt. Food took a long time, again, considering that there were only a few people at the restaurant. The second waiter finally brought our food. Onion rings with the burger. What could we do? If we sent the burgers back that would seem rude. So we kept things the way they were. But the burgers, def not the medium we had ordered. Again, dry little pucks. We reluctantly sent them back. Waited for a while. Burgers arrived...pretty much the same. Waiter couldn't understand our problem with them. Then, he told us that the kitchen was closing soon and we would have to accept them. We ate our dry overcooked burgers quickly as they were closing. But then we waited forever for the check. Did either of the two waiters stop by and ask us if we wanted another drink? Or apologize for the chaotic service? Nope. Talked to another friend who's been here recently and he hit it on the head...they make it a real obstacle course to enjoy yourself here. They have a nice looking place..the burgers have been good in the past. But we were so aggitated the entire time. Did they offer a free refill or not charge for onion rings or anything? No.

I used to love this place but today they forgot the bacon on my burger. I paid $2.50 for bacon and didn’t get it. I tried to call them to atleast have them refund me for that charge but apparently they don’t answer their phone anymore. This place is too expensive to have such careless workers. Def will never come back

Basic burger diner with great cocktails. The pie is good, too. Valet parking lot is located across the street (diagonally).

I was staying at the hotel that Cassells was connected to and it was good for a late dinner because of convenience. The service was friendly even when I came out at almost closing time. My burger came out quick and had to assemble the burger my self. The sauce Carrie's the burger nothing crazy. It had a nice retro vibe with the neon lights and decor. It was pretty good for a quick bite but it is a bit pricey for just a burger.

First time, heard of this through word of mouth. Awesome food, people friendly staff, good prices. Would recommend this to all who love to enjoy burgers and fries every now and again.Finding parking is tricky, we parked two blocks away, but the short walk came in handy after that exquisite indulgence. Bon AppétitParking: We didn't notice the valet parking across the street do we drove around and found parking two blocks away. (Monday evening-7:30 pm)

I needed food after a long flight and rushed through security for my flight and to eat. They were closed at 9:20pm, over an hour before last departure. Not even an "on the hour" thing. Random closing time.

Finally got to try the one and only cassells cheeseburger. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant it sits inside Normandie hotel on a busy corner with lots of windows. The burger blew me away at first bite. So did the prices. At least they had a happy hour special when I went to soften the blow. Loved their special sauce as well as their ranch!
