Ok, I had to make a comment about their dumplings. It was THE most authentic and delicious Korean mandu i’ve ever had. Most korean food in southern california feels too salty or too sweet without complex flavor. This one tasted exactly the same as the Chang Hwa Dang we had in Seoul, Jongro. We ended up buying 20 frozen kimchi mandu(picture) and they taste just as perfect! Over the moon to find the BEST AUTHENTIC KOREAN food!!! BEST BEST BEST~~~!!!

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I got the dumpling and noodle soup and honestly ate the three dumplings in there and left the rest.

Low key, no frills, mandu shop. You can get mandu here. As described. That's pretty much it. 👍
alpha in ktown. Plz adjust hours from 9:00 pm to 8:30 as that is last call.

Food Poisoning. Personally, I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at CHD MANDU LA on September 6. I ordered the shrimp dumplings, and right away they tasted off. A few hours later, I became severely sick with food poisoning. I had non-stop diarrhea, painful stomach cramps, and was completely miserable the entire night and into the next couple of days.
Food that is supposed to be fresh should never taste spoiled, and it should never make someone that sick. Because of how severe this was, I am also filing a food poisoning complaint with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health so that this gets properly investigated. Nobody should have to go through what I did just from eating a simple meal out.
I want to alert others to be extremely careful. No one should have to go through what I did just from eating dumplings. I will never return, and I strongly caution others about dining here.

5/5! The pork and chicken was great and the servers served us until it was closed. Don’t skip out on this place, it’s 100.

The food was okay and the space was spacious, but the service was terrible. The restaurant was empty, yet the server showed no effort to provide customer service and seemed annoyed whenever we asked for anything.

The person who was working on 7/28/25 at around 7 in the evening was one of the most unpleasant, uncouth people I have encountered in a restaurant.
There was only one other party of two eating there when we arrived and it was silent. The employee didn’t greet us or even smile, but rather gestured us towards the tables with a grunt and a frown. I asked if we could sit in a booth and she stared at me for a minute and then made a noise under her breath that I assumed meant “okay”.
She then begrudgingly brought us water and went back to her stand by the kitchen. She was shaking her head and mumbling under her breath…what’d we do?? It was such a terrible, sour vibe in there that we decided to just leave rather than subject ourselves to unnecessary hostility… I understand if you are having a bad day and don’t want to smile, but at least be polite.
We ended up walking down the street to Paik’s Noodle which was delicious and a much nicer environment to spend our money at!! Go there not here!

Presentation is great but that’s unfortunately all I liked about this place. The food was bland, server got our order wrong and they were not accommodating.

This place felt familiar right away—it reminded me of restaurants back in Korea. The meat and kimchi dumplings were both really tasty, but I wouldn’t recommend the veggie ones—the filling was too skimpy. I also tried the seasonal cold jjolmyeon, and it was delicious! The veggies were fresh, the portion was just right, and the space was clean.
The only downside was the parking situation—not really the restaurant’s fault, but the plaza’s system. Even though the posted parking rules (like in my photo) seemed reasonable, once you drive in, the attendants at the entrance block access and say valet is mandatory—$20 no matter what. I ended up parking on the street instead. I almost reported it because it felt unfair, but I let it go since I was traveling. Still, it’s been bugging me. Just something to keep in mind if you visit!

This is my go-to mandu/Korean dumpling place, and everytime I come here it's always delicious and consistent. The mandu is soo crispy and light, paired well with the dipping sauce, and the tteokbokki is chewy and the perfect amount of spice with cheese. Kimchi fried rice is also one of my faves here. The prices are reasonable and service is fast. Parking is free with validation for lunch hours!

Their rose dduk bboki was good, but galbi dumpling tasted really bad because it came out burnt.
