Had the takoyaki (so delicious) and okonomiyaki (big enough to share between two).
I took my mom here to show her what my brother’s favorite food is. He introduced me to Hiroshima style okonomiyaki in Tokyo when I was visiting him. This was definitely a cousin to the meal I had in Japan, but it was delicious and something you don’t get to have everyday. I’ll eagerly await the day an okonomiyaki restaurant opens in Alabama so I can have it every week.

What a cool experience to eat Okonomiyaki at the only place in the US that makes this dish! Our server was very attentive and accommodated our party of 7 very well. I enjoyed the atmosphere full of Japanese art and a TV that showed how to eat this dish properly so you don't burn your mouth. This was a great spot to entertain a group of 6+ people since they had large tables with metal cook tops.
I ordered the Hiroshima Okonomiyaki and I enjoyed the taste and texture the fried squid added to the dish. It was a lot of food, so I honestly would recommend ordering an appetizer and then one of these to split with someone, plus you can always stop at Somi Somi for dessert if you're still wanting something to round out the meal.

We ordered the Hiroshima and the b&c okonomiyaki. I personally like the b&c more because of how flavorful it was, and crunchy noodles is definitely the way to go. The Hiroshima was a more mild flavor, and thankfully they provide a packet of okonomiyaki sauce and kewpie mayo for each table.
My favorite dish of our order was the mentaiko takoyaki. I was not expecting it to be as crispy as it was since most fresh takoyaki places favor a softer exterior, but despite that, the inside was moist and soft.
We were seated quickly despite it being a Saturday evening, and food and drink orders were ready in decent time. We just had a bit of difficulty getting someone's attention to pay.
The atmosphere was what you'd expect for a casual sit-down, my only issue was how warm it was. It was an evening in August and I'm sure the heaters at every table contribute to the ambient heat, but it made me favor the iced tea and our dipping noodles to the okonomiyaki. Despite that, a lot of diners were having beer so it wasn't a huge issue.
There's also 2 hr parking validation.

First time trying the food here and it was great! The dishes that do not have some type of sauce on them was a but bland for me but perfect for the kids. The takoyaki (squid balls) are probably the best I have ever tried. As for the stir fry, I tried the ground beef as well as the Hiroshima (flat fried squid). The waiter mentioned that their dishes were single servings but it could probably fill 2 people. I finished mine but I'm a Noodle hog. I have never faced a noodle dish that I couldn't finish and my wife couldn't finish hers. Great stuff! Will definitely come back and try their spicy flavors!

Good location, normal taste. Had the original and wasabi takoyakis and a chinchikurin okonomiyaki. Inside the store you can read about the history of okonomiyaki which I found interesting. I would recommend visiting once.

We went for lunch on a slow Wednesday afternoon. The table grill wasn't very hot, noodles weren't crispy, and the flavor was severely lacking. Perhaps we just caught them on an "off" day; but we were overall disappointed by the food. Despite the underwhelming experience, I wouldn't mind giving them a second chance in the future. Okonomiyaki is really fantastic when done right. I'm hoping it was just a one-off.
Vegetarian options: There's a vegan Okonomiyaki available; and you can custom choose ingredients you may wish to add to your dish.

Not as friendly as the Torrance location but very delicious. The noodle could be crunchier. It was very packed and hot due to the temperature and the Obon festival.
