Chronis Famous Sandwich Shop

Chronis is okay. The staff is friendly. Place is clean and plenty of outdoor seats. The food is a'aight. Burgers are small. Dogs are good. Fries are mid. Would i go out of my way and drive there again? Probably not. Would i stop again if I was craving a chili dog? I would drive to Tommy's instead. You can't beat Tommy's.

Man! I used to be a Tommy's chili kinda guy, then started liking the hats pastrami chili cheese fries, but I will say the chili at chronis has them all beat! They use an AMAZING snappy all beef hotdog and the chili is just the perfect amount of thick without being sticky and greasy. Great flavor! I highly recommend the chili cheese dog!

The chili dogs were great! Reminded me of Cupids Hot Dogs in Semi Valley. We bought 3 chili cheese dogs, 2 drinks 1 chili cheese fries, $40 with tax! A bit high, but worth it. The outside tables were dirty, but the employee came out right away to wipe our table down after I asked. Very nice young man. It's an outside patio area next to parking lot where all the tables are at, nothing fancy at all!! No problem for us, also, there are no restrooms for public use.🤷🏻‍♀️ it is in East LA more than it is in Whittier, it was around 15 miles from where we live. Not close, but we will stop by again for some yummy dogs😉

My bill was higher then I thought, I guess to add cheese 🧀 cost more, they did not tell me that cheese is extra, I questioned the guy he said each item has tax, + sales tax, I paid cash, will not go back to Chronis, I've tasted better.

Great place takes me way back to my Eastmont days. The Chronis family member still runs the place, just wish it wasn't so pricy.....I guess this is reason why original neibirhood folks only come bye a few times a year. 😋

Nostalgic hot dog stand I've been coming to for decades . NEVER disappointed, always fresh . Pastrami and there chili is among the best around .just a great place to eat period !

I’ve heard a lot of hype about this place I went super fat ass and got 2 chili cheese dogs and a chili cheese fry. portion is perfect.

Hotdogs were delicious!!!
Unfortunately our chili cheese fries weren’t🫤 undercooked for sure too bad I got TO-GO!! thanks don’t forget to get some Hotdogs!!!!
