We stopped in for some to go pastry during the holidays and weren’t disappointed!

Service came with a smile which is always appreciated. Great option for a breakfast treat.

I visited this morning and the pastry I got was amazing. Can’t say the same about the service. Before visiting the bakery, I read some reviews and couldn’t agree more with a previous review about the service. It’s cold, dismissive, and just rude. When I worked at a bakery at an extremely popular tourist area in Los Angeles, I never treated customers like that. Nobody wants to tip when you have that off attitude. As one customer server to another: just smile, greet the customer, take their order, and say thanks or goodbye. 3 years as a bakery cashier and server, trust me it’ll make your shift easier. Remember, customers are not your enemies, especially if there’s that tip screen ;)

Pastries are ok but for what they charge they could spring for a warmer to heat up the pastries. A ham and cheese croissant that’s cold is not very good.

They offer good pastries but don't have an oven to heat/warm them up in the cold months. The service wasn't great, a bit dismissive. This used to be one of my favorite spots.

Had a problem when a customer walked in with his pet. No service ID on the dog. They had it posted not to bring pets inside per the health dept, but he chose to do it anyway. Does he realize he was compromising their ability to be open? How inconsiderate!

The delicious smell of fresh baked goods is just as amazing as the taste! However, during a few of our visits, the staff hasn’t been particularly friendly.

We also noticed that dogs are sometimes inside the store, and unfortunately, you can see pet hair near the bread area, which raises some concerns about cleanliness. Because of this, we try to visit early in the morning when it's less likely to be an issue.

Freshly baked bread has a great texture and taste, and the coffee is fragrant. You can sit on the chairs outside and enjoy it peacefully.

As a matcha drinker, I was highly disappointed at their “matcha” drink on the menu. Very poor excuse to call it matcha when it tastes like a one dimensional vanilla creamer. You could close your eyes to compare the two and believe it was just that. Would it be hard to just… add more matcha?

Also, $14 for bacon and eggs? Seriously? This place isn’t even a restaurant… It’s $15 just to grab a whole pack of pasture raised eggs & bacon at the store. Save your money, this is just another overpriced hipster bakery that leaves their baked goods baking in their glass window. On top of that, the workers here were unfriendly and seemingly unhappy to greet people.

Love coming in and grabbing a coffee and pastry to read and chill. Plus their baguettes are pretty cheap! I’m a fan of their sourdough too, they slice it for you! The only thing I would mention is the serious-faced staff. Friendly but slightly irritated.

I usually come this place 3-4 days per week. All employees are kind and friendly Their all products are great, cold brew is one of my fav. But, The coffee I bought today was served overdue (i.e. stale) and almost half a glass. I usually buy my coffee without ice and I sincerely thank and appreciate it the other friends who do not make such small calculations. However, I just wonder who benefits from this attitude.

Review for Sunday June 8 around 2pm

Not sure why the staff were in a mood today. I placed an order for a matcha chocolate croissant. During the same time, the woman at the cashier was informed something about salmon and cream cheese, and she visibly became frustrated, she ended up “handing” me the croissant by throwing it on the counter right in front of me. She gathered herself enough to say “I’m sorry, that was rude” but I was in such disbelief of the disrespectful treatment I got that I just walked away - without the goods and without paying. I feel like shops in Larchmont are usually known for their good service so it’s very unsettling to see this kind of behavior from one of the most well-known shops in the area. Please do better next time.

It’s always disappointing when a place with potential to be great chooses to be a place you keep supporting only because of one thing - their pastries. I am a regular and enrolled in their loyalty program. This morning I noticed that they redesigned their patio (not in a good way as they removed a cuter-looking communal tables replacing them with super generic-looking plastic individual tables), but that was not the only change. It seems like their prices went up again and they no longer offer refills for $2.00 on their black coffee. I guess they think nothing of charging $10 for two cups of not amazing filter coffee rather than showing their appreciation of the loyal customers base, which is definitely not a smart policy (at Friends and Family they actually don’t charge anything if you ask them for a fresh splash every now and then). I just visited Greece where restaurant and cafe owners go out of their ways to please the customers, which felt so amazing, and this kind of attitude (“it will be just the same price as for another cup of coffee) seemed so greedy and cold. Oh, well. I still enjoyed my danish and needed that extra caffeine, but I am still having a hard time loving this place.
