Great food, excellent vibes, I keep coming back several times, this is our go to restaurant in Sawtelle. All their rice and udon dishes are excellent and delicious. ❤️
Their undon curry's main chicken is excellent but some of the chicken in their curry can be slightly bland. That is the only thing and even despite that, 5 stars, every dish of theirs is a 10/10, homerun!

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences ordering takeout. This is now the second time I've received an incomplete order. Initially, my additional egg and cheese were missing, and today, I ordered two chicken curries – one with extra squid and the other with cheese. While they included the squid, they completely omitted the chicken Katsu, despite paying extra for it. Double-check take orders.
I reached out to the restaurant to voice my concerns, but it seems they are indifferent to the issues I've encountered. This level of service is simply disappointing.

classic Japanese curry… price point was good for amount of food served… service was quick and friendly… my pork cutlet was a bit dry, overcooked a bit, but still good when mixed with the gravy. I ordered just one notch above “regular” hot and was just barely spicy hot… too bad they charge extra to increase heat level

Always consistent and always delicious and very reasonably priced….I like the Keema Curry and I add the pork Katsu. and I think it was about $19 plus tips was total was about $23 out the door and it’s always delicious with the level 3 spiciness….Great job and I will see you again soon:)

I LOVE coco ichibanya sawtelle! the service is good! and the food is amazinggg. i will say, recently they’ve been making the food a tinge spicier than it used to be. i used to order a spice level 2, but now i might just do regular. everything is customizable though, and you can change the spice level to whatever you want! i personally love the chicken cutlet curry omelet and the cheese keema fries. the cheese, cream, and mushroom additions are also amazing. love it :)

yummy curry!

Please do not serve re-fried pork cutlets to your to-go customers; those cutlets even have a burning smell. This is the third time I am encountering this issue.

We are not your trash bin for overnight food.

I first had CoCos in 2015 when I was stationed in Japan, and it has remained my favorite food to this day. I have taken several trips to California and Texas with the sole purpose of eating it again lol Will be doing so again in August. Cannot recommend enough.

Coco is the largest chain curry restaurant in the world so one would expect it would get their curry right. It was mediocre at best and for some reason mine was really really salty. I’ve eaten curry majority of my life. I was sincerely disappointed. Also, their gyoza was a joke. It was the frozen kind and they served it like it was toss out of the frozen package. Really!! This really made me upset. How can you call yourself a curry restaurant without a semi-descent gyoza. It was a total waste. It wasn’t even fried properly. The service was great and the place was nice and clean. But the food, horrid. I don’t leave many bad reviews but this was so disappointing that I had to leave a note for others.

Great curry! Pretty much the same taste as in Japan. Would recommend getting an omelet curry.

So good! Pick your choice of curry toppings, spice level, amount of rice and add-ons if you'd like. I got the creamy mushroom with omelet 🔥

FYI: Free parking at the back of the restaurant.

The portion of my chicken cutlet was so small that it seemed like it was eaten by someone before it was served:) not dining here again with this price and this portion of food. You can get a better cutlet at other places with a better price.
