Used to come here weekly since 2004, but after the rudest service in 2011 I took a break. Came back to give second chance. Still horrible service. Swore never to return. Even gave a third chance in 2014 , seems everytime I return I remind myself of why I shouldn't return. Might need to go back in hopes that they have new staff. Update it finally closed at the end of 2022. No surprise.
This place was one of my favorites, but unfortunately, it closed at the end of 2022
I liked the hospitality and continue checking on us to verify if we needed more coffee or food.
Great place for breakfast. Abigail was our server today, courteous, friendly service!
Pies & Police combine for a Classic! Coco's bakes the pies, natch, but the LAPD lords over the scene from the Los Angeles Police Museum directly across the street. The 1925 cop shop originally belonged to Highland Park, but it's served as a set piece for everything from MacGiver to The Rockford Files. It's a marvelous edifice, and it certainly makes for a classic backdrop while you're supping on Coco's classic grub - pies & otherwise!
Every time I come here it reminds me of a Small Town Diner unfortunately there isn't much foot traffic.and it doesn't get very busy unless it's the weekend but the food is always amazing and so is the service no matter what I'm surprised that there's not more people coming here it's very affordable
I didn't like the service and when they finally put us on the table they wouldn't deliver the menu, after waiting for a long while we decided to go.
Good food. Bfast special a good deal. Very friendly wait staff
Pies are delicious, no matter what flavor! Service always welcoming and friendly. A delight indeed ?

Staff is friendly and nice but the food is not that good. Small portions, bland food and high prices for what you get. If your in a pinch it's all right but there are better options out there.
Our "go to" place for breakfast. "55+" section of the menu. Love the service.
When I went to eat, it was pretty full but my party still got seated quickly. It did take a while to get our food, but it was full so I didn't mind. Quality of food was good and I want to go back to try the pies.
They don't have much of a choice for food anymore. You would think they'd offer meatloaf, but they do not. And they no longer provide free bread with the meals, or salad either. Too much money for the portion size in my opinion.
Angela is an excellent server!! Brioche French toast is great. However, I should have known better than to order a prime rib at what is basically a Denny's. Over-cooked, flavorless, chewy and tough.
