I try to get here at least once a month and I drive 45 minutes.. it’s so worth it. I also bring bagels home with me!! Believe me you won’t be disappointed!!

Courage Bagels, known for its Montreal-style bagels, offers a delightful experience with its crunchy exterior and soft interior. The bagels are consistently spread with rich cream cheese, and specialty bagels feature juicy and fresh produce. Popular choices include "Run it through the garden" for a refreshing experience and "Cream cheese and tomato," which is another standout. The hand-sliced smoked salmon is also well-balanced, and many customers consider it perfect, even comparing it favorably to well-known spots in NYC.
While the bagels are worth the wait, customers may face a line. On weekends, arriving around 9 am is recommended, and for those who visit during off-hours, the wait can be under 10 minutes. The to-go bagels reheat well in a toaster oven for a few days, and the staff provides the right amount of cream cheese for to-go orders. Although seating is outdoors along the curb, it often becomes available.
Some customers have raised concerns about burnt bagels and flavorless butter, with reports of butter leaking through the bag. However, the burnt everything bagels are a star. The different sandwiches are flavorsome with clearly fresh produce. While the bagels themselves receive high praise, the service is noted as an area needing improvement, with comments about the wait and the price point… it doesn’t represent good value. Despite these issues, many still believe the bagels are amazing and worth trying, calling it the best bagel place in LA.
