This restaurant is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I want to go to a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes right away to my mind. fresh and all kinds of food and a rich menu.professional crew, and pleasant spirit. In addition to that, the charge is honest. I sent my friends to this place with great pleasure.
During my time in college, I experienced something new, four years of extraordinary meals from a singulary unexpected source. To say that both the meals and the memories have challenged my preconceptions about dining is an understatement. They have rocked me to my core. It is difficult to imagine a more humble group than those of the staff now cooking at Covel, who are, in my opinion nothing less than the finest staff in all the world. I will be returning to Covel soon, hungry for more.
Love the fries and sweet potato fries!Soup and desserts are also good.
Two words. Tater Tots. Crunchy carbohydrate heaven. Keto adherents need not apply, though there's plenty of other great traditional breakfast food here, including waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage. Freshman ten? Check. ☑️
I thought they would have apple and orange juice but it's only for breakfast... The milk however is for lunch... I like how they offer soy milk. The chocolate chip cookies taste average and the brownies are pretty good. The veggie soup is a 5/10. The only vegetable in the soup is spinach. Oh yes and recently they upped the prices. It's now $14 per person instead of $10.
Their highlight is definitely the fresh and tasty pasta
Not bad. Much kind of food. Not expensive.
Fairly good Italian food. They also have burgers and desserts. The omelettes on the weekends are delicious.
Buffet in Covel commons. They have the usual (pizza, ice cream, burgers) as the other buffets do.
Although not my favorite dining hall, Covel gets the job done when you wanna carb-o-load or feel like pasta. The main feature is usually some italian specialty (both vegetarian and meat) - ranging from a simple bow tie pasta to cioppino or risotto. They also always have thick crust pizza, dessert, burgers and fries, a salad bar, and a cereal station. The new addition that I like here is the Hallal and Kosher section: featuring hummus, chicken, and pita bread. The food quality has upped a bit since I've been a student, but its disappointing how small some of the servings are. I can't complain though with all the health initiatives, and since there's lots of options for UCLA folks this dining hall isn't as crazy crowded as it used to be.
