We were apprehensive going when we found out this restaurant was in the middle of UCLA. We also did not know there was a hotel in UCLA. The restaurant was very nice with great food and drinks. I would recommend trying Plateia.
We are frequent patrons of Plateia. I am diabetic and need to have *minor* modifications to the dish I order consistently - Jidori Chicken. The change is to have more non-starchy vegetables. Usually, this request is handled without incident, however, this request is frequently challenged by the server citing the preference of the chef. As a frequent patron of your restaurant I hope that this can be handled differently in the future.
This was the third time I've visited this restaurant, and I've been so impressed by their consistency in quality and flavor of food!
Absolutely love the ambience of the place and the service by all the staff. It's such a fulfilling experience to eat here, will certainly come here again. They also accommodated our small pup to sit under the table. Greatly recommended for large groups of friends/ family!

Plateia offers excellent Mediterranean-inspired, California-fresh meals in a gratuity-free environment. The staff is friendly, helpful, kind, and accommodating. Customers consistently praise the good, tasty, delicious food and the lovely, great atmosphere for both family and business gatherings. Many visitors return regularly, enjoying dishes like the Harissa Lamb Pita or the hamburger. The menu has many yummy options, and the food is consistently excellent, from salads to the steelhead entree. The venue is perfect for meeting friends after work or celebrating special occasions, especially for those near the UCLA campus or after shows at the Geffen Playhouse. The restaurant's setting is nice in its cool location. Although the menu is healthy and well-prepared, the prices can be higher. Overall, Plateia is highly recommended for delicious food and a friendly environment, with service that varies from good to excellent and can be beyond impeccable.
