The food and service were outstanding. Beautiful patio and, best of all, tipping is not allowed. They pay their staff reasonable wage and do not accept tips.
Plateia never disappoints! The atmosphere is lovely. The service prompt and attentive. The food is reliably delicious.
We were apprehensive going when we found out this restaurant was in the middle of UCLA. We also did not know there was a hotel in UCLA. The restaurant was very nice with great food and drinks. I would recommend trying Plateia.

Many visitors return regularly, enjoying dishes like the Harissa Lamb Pita or the hamburger. The menu has many yummy options, and the food is consistently excellent, from salads to the steelhead entree. The venue is perfect for meeting friends after work or celebrating special occasions, especially for those near the UCLA campus or after shows at the Geffen Playhouse. The restaurant's setting is nice in its cool location. Although the menu is healthy and well-prepared, the prices can be higher. Overall, Plateia is highly recommended for delicious food and a friendly environment, with service that varies from good to excellent and can be beyond impeccable.
