The cuisine was satisfactory, comprising Japanese curry, which I found to be rather ordinary. The service was abysmal; the attendant was exceedingly unkind. I requested an additional plate, but she failed to provide one. Upon inquiring in the kitchen, I received a dirty plate. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she violently slammed the plate onto the table and brusquely handed me two more plates, maintaining her rudeness throughout the interaction.

Improper manners and unattentive service severely undermine the dining experience. We wish some of the employees there were replaced.
It takes a bit too long to refill water and drinks, and to pick up dishes, but it can be improved further.
We are more dissatisfied with one of the servers, as he has a malicious attitude. Ordering an extra dessert feels more like customers disrupting his peaceful life, and we are met with discriminatory manners, eerie eye contact, and passive-aggressive silence from ordering to serving the dishes. We should not have ordered cups of ice cream if that caused such a hassle.
It was disappointing that this well-known Japanese franchise has declining service quality.

I first tried Coco’s when I was in Okinawa. It was an amazing nostalgic experience to have it in LA and it was amazing. I can’t wait to go back soon.

Do not order to-go. Their new containers are terrible, and leak everywhere. Soggy food.

Level 3 spicy is wow. And yet it goes up to 10, wild. Really love their curry at level 3 spice.

Been to many locations in Asia so very happy that LA has a CoCo Ichibanya location. Hard to beat the price and quality. Liked that you can select your rice quantity and 2hr free parking was a big plus.

The service was quick and the food tasted amazing. The chicken cutlet curry I ordered definitely reminded me of when I visit CoCo Ichibanya in Japan. I would recommend this place for anyone craving rice & curry.

We used to go to cocos in Okinawa all the time. We were happy to come here and eat it after having cravings! Everything was perfect. All it was missing was melon soda! Parking was hard to find. They were handing out tickets to people parked on the street right next to the building so be careful. Other than that we had a great time. Our server was great and the environment was great

This was my first experience with authentic Japanese curry. Unfortunately, it did not go completely as planned. I ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken curry with veggies. My wife ordered dumplings. Food came out quickly, but my order was completely wrong.
I was given spicy chicken cutlet with no veggies. I mentioned this to the server, but he said the order wasn't put in that way. Thankfully, the food tasted good. I also ordered a soda, but was given a water cup sized drink. The server let me know it was free refills, but I think this was done to ensure I didn't get the full value of what I paid for drink wise.
Finally, the spice level. I was impressed with how customizable spicy level is. I went with a five and was happy with the heat. However, it's an extra charge for anything above regular. It was an extra dollar to get a five spice level.
Overall, the food was really good. I enjoyed the taste of everything, but service and upcharges left a lot to be desired. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
