CoCo Ichibanya Curry House is a haven for spice enthusiasts seeking a flavorful kick, but be warned: their heat levels aren't for the faint-hearted. My recent visit with my husband left us both reeling from the fiery experience of the chicken cutlet curry with rice at level 2 spicy.Upon arrival, the aroma of spices tantalized our taste buds, promising an adventure in flavor. The first bite delivered on that promise with an explosion of rich curry goodness. However, what followed was an unexpected onslaught of intense heat that left us reaching for water faster than we anticipated. As a Southern spice lover myself, I pride myself on my tolerance for heat, but even I found myself taken aback by the intensity of CoCo Ichibanya's curry. My husband, no stranger to spicy cuisine, found himself sweating profusely, and I began to hiccup uncontrollably. While the flavor was undeniably exceptional, the spice levels at CoCo Ichibanya are not to be underestimated. This curry isn't just a meal; it's a test of endurance, a trial by fire that will undoubtedly leave you with a newfound respect for your spice tolerance. In conclusion, CoCo Ichibanya Curry House delivers on its promise of bold, flavorful curry, but approach with caution, especially if you're not accustomed to high levels of spice. Prepare to have your taste buds challenged and your limits tested - this curry will certainly make a man (or woman) out of you!

I love the idea of being able to customize curry. I asked for an omlette curry with thinly sliced beef and my husband got the curry with shrimp and boiled egg. Curry tasted like the fast 5 minute curry you buy from the market. You can request spice level and level 4 seems to be the appropriate amount of spice. Going higher than that may mean you will be sweating. While eating here, I noticed there was a lot of to go orders. Most people were picking up their food to go. Inside wasn't as clean and we had to go the register to pay for our meal as the staff aren't really attentive to the sitting customers.

i have eaten in these restaurants in japan and it was also very authentic in los angeles. however, the service was poor. the waiter asked us to change tables because a larger group was coming. that was no problem for us, but the waiter took the group's orders first and i had to give the waiter a sign so that we would be noticed at all - very inattentive.

First time trying this type of curry. It was delicious. Thai tea hit the spot The spicy chicken was delicious and set my mouth on fire. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and cozy. I would recommend everyone to try this place out. Very exclusive with locations !

Surprisingly I ordered delivery from this place and wasn't expecting the best meal with the reviews being so low. However we are so glad we ordered from here! I ordered the chicken cutlet and my friend ordered the spicy teriyaki fried chicken. Our orders came in really nice to go boxes that kept the curry and rice separate. The curry wasn't too mild or too spicy and didn't have too many toppings. It was the right amount for the chicken and we got way more rice than expected. You can even change to get more rice - which I usually do but didn't need from here. I will have to dine in person in the future!

I this chain In Japan, Hawaii, or Cali! Price is affordable and always hits the spot. Delish! There are waiters, but it's much more like counter service. I wish I had one closer to Ventura County, where I live now.

Went here for my birthday because Japanese curry is my go to comfort food and I’ve been meaning to check it out. Everything was amazing. The keema cheese fries were probably my favorite of everything.Service was friendly and fast my bill was way less than I expected. Will definitely be back.

A close experience to the one that I've had in Japan. Love the food, and the experience. The bathroom needs a little help.

The curry here exceeded my expectations (which were quite low to be honest)! The only thing I regret is ordering a medium spice level because the spiciness here is intense. I usually can handle spicy food but this was painful. However the flavor of the curry was delicious and the texture was not too thick. My favorite was the curry fries-- this is a must order! Was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this meal. Service was slow here but the servers were kind. Not sure about the parking situation since I walked but although this place is surrounded by scaffolding due to construction, it is still open.

I've only placed online orders from them but they are quick, their food is delicious and the containers they use for their take out is top notch. Keeps everything in there own container area until your ready to eat so it keeps everything fresh and crispy like my pork cutlet curry.

First time to the Curry House, the food was great! I loved how easy it was to order and the many options to choose from. We got our curry piping hot ? definitely will come back to try out the omelettes. The only thing that was lacking here, was the service. We ordered a high level of spice and it got annoying that we couldn't find anyone to refill our drinks. We spent more time waiting than actually eating. Other than that, worth a visit!

We came to eat here , the wait was extremely long almost an hour and a half. When they sat us down it took 45 minutes for our food . My daughter in law & I order the chicken with vegetables & my son order the pork . We are the curry and rice , the chicken and the pork were burnt & had a funky taste . It had a horrible after taste . Waiters saw we left the chicken , didn't bother to ask why . The people sitting next to us , had the same issue with the burnt chicken . What a horrible experience to come and eat wait so long and get nasty food. We were running had something else to do if not I would had sent the food back .
