The pork dumplings were flavorful with a nice, delicate wrap. The Dan Mein Short Rib was tender and rich, with noodles that soak up all the savory sauce. Great comfort dishes and definitely worth ordering!

Had a chance to try Dan Modern recently and so glad we did! This is a great casual option for delicious soup dumplings. We were impressed with the service and would return again if in the area.

Can you get better Chinese food in LA for far cheaper. Absolutely, but you’d have to drive to SGV. For the Westside, this is about as good as it gets. The soup dumpling were thin skinned, flavorful and juicy, and everything else, from the Mapo tofu to the beef roll was very decent.
