Pretty good Texas BBQ. Prices aren't the worst, entree portions good. Side portions slim for the price, in combo price does improve.

Instead of going for the cheap special, I went for the brisket sandwich. As one of the previous posters mentioned I understand fat makes meat delicious but my first and second mouthful - pure fat. I thought it was personal until I read that. Apparently this is the way it’s prepared so once I got to the meat, it was delicious as were the accoutrements. I even stuffed a tip in the jar, despite not being prompted to do so on the credit card payment.
Definitely recommend this place but just beware of what you’re going to get. If you order the brisket sandwich, I’m not used to that much fat.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit is my go-to place for lunch whenever I'm in downtown LA. The food is always good. I get the Westerner. It is their biggest sandwich. It comes on a hogie roll with your choice of two meats. I love the sliced brisket and pulled pork combo, and they pile it on. It comes with crispy seasoned French fries and a large drink. All for under $20.
Parking: Check out The Last Bookstore one block north of Dickey's and on the same side of the street. HUGE book selections.

I agree with a lot of these bad reviews It was ok not great tasting but they gave me hardly any meat and they asked what kind of bbq sauce I wanted and I asked for spicy for me and original for my kids and they said I can only have one maybe because they wanted to take advantage of a tourist idk you would think they would want to compete with the grand central market and other restaurants but no they suck don’t go just go down the street to GCM or other restaurants

Hard to criticize a chain with so many locations, but I'll do my best. Fat makes meat tasty and juicy. That said, 25% of my brisket sandwich was fat.
Everything from the bun to the sauce to the coleslaw was very sweet. Too much so I would say.
The online ordering process felt like I was flying Spirit Airlines. Unusually cumbersome and long-winded just to order a sandwich.
The staff was pleasant enough and they made the most out of their small retail space.
One commendable item was their environmentally friendly packaging.
I won't be back.

Deplorable service I just wanted to correct my order and who ever answered the phone was completely rude. They apparently have no managers on staff at 3 in the afternoon and she accused me of being someone else. Not to mention the chicken they sent instead of my brisket was over cooked and flavorless.
Great service great store great food love their okra and their barbecue sauce. Their meats are hot and fresh.

Don’t order. Used to get their smoked wings until they gave us plain, bland, tough, non-smoked wings twice in a row. Server said that when they run out of smoked wings they just serve regular plain wings. Well that’s not what we paid $50 for!!!
They could have at least called or cancelled the order like other restaurants do. So disappointed :-/
