I never got the chance to try the food or the atmosphere, so I will not rate those. I will just say that I am still waiting for a message or phone call telling us that our table is ready. Still waiting from yesterday at 13:30. We were a big group and registered for the waitlist. We were told that the table will be ready in 30-45 minutes. I was supposed to get a message or a phone call if the table would be ready before…… I am still waiting.

Some amazing food, I suggest going with friends and just order a bunch of items to share. I get you may have a Steve and Kendra in your group who want their own and don't share, but seriously try everything and split the bill. It's amazing food and you'll have a memorable experience. you absolutely need reservations as they are filled up basically from open and people put their names in and wait in the line for hours.

This is one of my most favorite restaurants in Los Angeles! They even have the mango snow dessert that was exclusively at their Japan locations! It was amazing when I ate it, and the atmosphere at this location is amazing too. The service is always top notch and I have the best time at this place. It is a must see restaurant for Los Angeles. This place is great for parties, date nights, or a place to bring the family. Thanks for making me fall in love with your restaurant and now I know how dumplings should taste.

Really overhyped.
the cucumber salad is average in taste and not worth its price. That explains my overall experience. Everything was just not great for my ethnic tongue. Iykyk

First time at Din Tai Fung – and I was blown away!
This was my very first time trying Din Tai Fung, and I have to say—I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we were seated at the Century City location, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially when explaining the menu and how to enjoy the dumplings properly.
I finally got to try the famous xiao long bao (soup dumplings)—and they absolutely lived up to the hype! The delicate wrappers, the savory broth, and the perfectly seasoned pork were all incredible. I also loved the spicy wontons, the chilled cucumber appetizer, and the shrimp & pork dumplings. Every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and carefully made.
The ambiance was sleek and modern, with the open kitchen letting you watch the chefs craft each dumpling by hand—such a cool touch for a first-time visitor.
I can confidently say this won’t be my last visit. Din Tai Fung completely lived up to its reputation and made a lasting first impression. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food and a top-notch dining experience!

My wife and I thought this Chinese restaurant was better than the average restaurant in LA's Chinatown. While we lived in the area, we went there a few times a month. The crab and pork xiao long bao and soy noodle salad are must-try dishes. Don't worry if there is a long line. They will send you a message when your table is ready. In the meantime, you can walk around Westfield Century City. It's fun!
