Not sure I understand the negative reviews. The pizza is true-blue Chicago deep dish, and it's very good. The ordering is only slightly unconventional, yet still very straight-forward. You either order online or call in. That's it. It's also not a ghost kitchen. Looks like they're opening a brick & mortar spot in El Sereno soon, and they're just renting kitchen/oven space.

Was super excited to try this place and here is what I did in order to try it.

1. Tried to order online and it said online orders aren't accepted but they have slots left for phone orders (whatever that means)

2. I called and it went to an automated voicemail. I then called back... EIGHT TIMES hoping someone would answer between another customer order. Nope.

3. I then drove to the locations address listed on their site AND mentioned on their voicemail. I get there and you can't even tell where it is. I had other people in the car with me and we they couldn't find it either.....

This place is ran poorly. Get your sh together. If I had to put in THIS MUCH EFFORT which I'd guess no one in history has done before... you have major issues. Thanks for wasting my time and energy and also giving me pizza blue balls ?

Fire the manager.

We made a spontaneous decision to stop and grab food here and we’re happy we did. The guy at the front was friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you Dough Box!

Pizza here is pretty good but their ordering system is a little funny. You'll be told all orders are closed when you go online but that's only for online ordering. They'll still accept orders over the phone. I can't tell you how many times I almost ordered from here and changed my mind when I saw it was call in only. It's an insane amount of money that they lost from me because of this system.

A true one star experience. The last thing we need in the community is another ghost kitchen model. Deep dish can take an hour, understandable, but they gave me a time to arrive and made me wait 20 minutes beyond that time at the store (no tables, no chairs). They didn’t mention on the phone there was no seating there even though I said “we will dine in”. The pizza was awful on top of that, dough was not right, ingredients tasted cheap like a pizza from your old school’s cafeteria. Get outta the way for a better more community-minded restaurant that actually tries.

Decent deep dish. Asked for ranch, they told me "we don't have ranch because we are selling traditional deep dish." I'm from Illinois and every deep dish place has ranch. The best ones make it themselves, in house. It's the Midwest. If you know, you know. Apparently they don't. 12" regular pies are too small, and that's the maximum size. 12" deep dish is nice for about 3 people. Staff was friendly. 45 min turnaround from order time. Definitely scratched the itch.

Best “Chicago” style pizza. Even better than many places in Chicago.

Picked up the Sicilian Pepperoni..dough was dense and gummy. Had a strong, yeasty smell & flavor, pretty off putting. Ratio of tomato sauce to dough thickness was off- mostly dough, barely any sauce. 4 slices of this is $31.76, yikes. I don’t like wasting food…but this went to the bin after trying to eat one slice. The smell of yeast is too strong!! The store was very dreary inside. Won’t be trying a second time.

This business is inside another one, (Mexican bakery) lack of signage, pie was delicious, ask though, there was hardly any protein on it...
