We live in Ventura but stopped by after my postoperative surgery appointment.. all I can say is AMAZING! The cafe de olla and Charro eggs are delicious! We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area! Their service is extraordinary! It's so rare to find exceptional customer service! Very kind and attentive

Delicious authentic food and agua fresca. Visited LA and went to this place for breakfast. The chilaquiles were the best I’ve had! Great service by the lovely and hilarious Esther!

From the outside you would never think that this place was worth your time, but the food is delicious 100% Mexican. I had the machaca, the tortillas were handmade the cafe de hoya was on another level. Desde fuera nunca pensarías que este lugar vale la pena, pero la comida es deliciosa 100% mexicana. Tuve la machaca y las tortillas eran hechas a mano! el café de hoya estaba en otro nivel

Been coming here for some time now, this place never disappoints. Ordered overtime the chilaquiles, pozole, birria, carne en su juego, chorizo plate and all were delicious. Pozole is really good this is my favorite. The cafe de la olla is fire! Feels like a homemade place.

What barbarians!!! The food is super delicious, fresh and with a lot of flavor! The Owner is very kind. The energy is very pleasant, the place is humble and rustic. It is a little piece of our Mexico. The truth is, the food is very tasty and they serve a lot. From Chocomil, pot coffee and cactus water that you must try. The guacamole and the chicharrón tacos are very delicious. Our favorite dishes were the red chilaquiles, the mixed fajitas, the king's plate and the Menudo. Recommended.

This place is probably well known to the locals, but its worth a visit if you live DTLA or San Gabriel area, South Pas etc.. its a small place runned very well, clean, quick service, and DELICIOUS food at an affordable price. The sauces, tortillas, meat, eggs are ALL right on. They braise their meat so it's tender, they cook their beans to make them creamy but not heavy, their hand made tortillas have the correct thickness and crunch. The salsa is appropriately spicy and smoky. What can I say?? Its perfect comfort food, and you feel like you're at a grandmother's house in some Mexican pueblo. Wow!! Please go, its worth it. Bon appetit
