Very busy place on a Saturday, brunch time had me looking for parking around the block. They have limited parking.
Once seated, the wait was not long despite being busy. My choices during my visit were their: Cortadito, Birria pambazo, and french toast. Everything was delicious.

I was influenced to visit this place and unfortunately did not meet my expectations. I was rooting for this place because its hard to find a yummy authentic Mexican restaurant. Presentation was actually very nice, but it lacked flavor. We got the Breakfast Molcajete and Waffles with fruit, Cafe de Olla and water. Lets start with the Molcajete... its waaayyyy too expensive for the portion $60 dollars for mostly chilaquiles (red ones, sauce was flavorless) Presentation was nice but when we started digging in, there was only small pieces of ranchera ( about 4 small pieces) 3 pork sausages (not like the pictures) it was small Breakfast sausages, fresh cheese, nopales and about 3 or 4 small bacon strips, 2 eggs, a tiny portion of beans ( not enough for 2 people) and same size guacamole (guacamole was just smashed avocado with salt, which was yummy) if you order house hot sauce its an extra charge. The Cafe de olla was yummy. Only ordered one and it had 2 available refills. The waffles were nothing extraordinary, just regular waffles, yet the fruit was very sweet and fresh ( really enjoyed it). The water was tap water (clorox was overpowering) The location is not the best, not enough parking ( had to find street parking) and they left us waiting outside in the cold rain, though...there were so many empty tables. (It was 2 of us) I was really hoping for a more lively atmosphere, music was very very low, did not make out the type of music being played,(maybe up the volume to bring enery and good vibes) the staff was friendly. Overall, good. But prices were too high. This restaurant is definitely not intended for locals ( based on prices). Total bill was $94 dollars for 2 people.

Food was delicious; lots to choose from.
I had the chilaquiles en salsa roja with carne asada. For my drink, I had chocolate abuelita. Everything was good, I have to try more items from the menu. Went on a Sunday, it was really busy, had to wait 30 mins.

No wait time for brunch hr on a friday for us. We ordered the Chilaquiles platter for 2. With birria and we received the asada instead. We didnt ask to replace it because we came in hungry. Its a big portion. 3 or 4 can be served from it. Wish they gave more than 2 eggs. The meat was good. Had ALOT of chips left over. If you like quantity this is the place. We also got a strawberry shake. It was okay. Alot of visual noise. We did not struggle on parking for brunch but there was limited parking.

First time here the place has very nice decorations definitely a chill atmosphere. The food was delicious the steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. I asked for medium rare it also came with a toast and a side of potatoes. The green Chilaquiles were great the sauce was authentic and the chips definitely taste homemade they're very crunchy. The coconut lavender drink was very refreshing. Café de olla was very flavorful and sweet. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any refills even though it says 2 refills are allowed. They said they ran out of Café de olla. They weren't able to give me a replacement. So I had no other choice but to buy something else. I ended up ordering an Horchata Latte as the big finale and when I tell you this had no horchata flavor I mean it. I was very disappointed because I honestly thought this was gonna be the star of the show. It was a decent plain latte at the end of the day. The service was sub par only one of the waitresses was very nice but the rest were rude and not very attentive.

This place is to crowded and long wait to be seated. I order chilaquiles and they were dry and hardly any green salsa on them. The tortillas were hard. I really didn't like the food . Too crowded and the food ain't all that.

There’s no parking, you’re in south la so no parking in the streets either. Not worth the time.

Tried to make a telephone ☎️ order but they never answered. Got to the location and said it would be 15 minutes, 30 minutes later I stood up and waited at the counter for my food. While my 30 minute wait, I observed the servers having no organization. They didnt know what food belonged to what table. Tables got their food separately. The one person finished the food first and the second plates hadn't even been delivered yet. The food had great taste, but portions small for the $20 plates. I went because I saw it on TikTok its worth trying, maybe better value somewhere else.

My experience at Huevo Cafe was one that I disliked as my table with my family ordered our food and we spent waiting 40 plus minutes just waiting for our food . We came to the restaurant starving and so the experience of waiting for so long for our and starving which was even worse was very unsatisfying. They even brought us some tortilla chips for free but everyone knows that's just to silence us and keep us from complaining .

The food is really good. We got the green chilaquiles with carne asada and carne asada breakfast nachos. Food was great, chill vibe and nice little hidden gem. BUT the service is terrible! And I don't blame the hostess/waitresses. Poor girls are running around hosting, bussing tables and things orders. We came on a Friday at 11:30am. We didn't get seated until after 12pm. We waited about 45 minutes when we were told it was a 30 minute wait. When we walked in there several tables but needed to be bussed. I think if they had more staff to bus tables and host, it would be more organized and the wait wouldn't be as terrible.

Overall I like this place. I thought the quesadilla I had was decent but there are many more dishes on the menu I would try. Same with the drinks. The staff are nice and do their best with how busy it gets. The interior is absolutely lovely. The parking lot is much smaller than I thought and street parking may be a challenge.
