This place was honestly one of the dirtiest spots I’ve ever been to. Everything reeked of urine, and there was trash everywhere. The level of cleanliness was completely unacceptable.
On the positive side, the young staff members were very polite and genuinely tried their best, and I was surprised by how fresh and tasty the food actually was — way better than you’d expect from such a rundown location.
But overall, the filth and the smell completely ruined the experience. No matter how decent the food was, I wouldn’t come back.

I had not been to a El Pollo Loco in over 20 years. Saw there was one close to my hotel in LA so I walked almost a mile but I was not disappointed. It was just as I remembered it. I ordered & ate all of this for $17! I wish they were in Virginia.

I always try to go to an El Pollo Loco when I'm traveling since I don't have one anywhere close to where I live anymore. This location is within walking distance from my hotel so when I'm not craving Japanese food, I can get Mexican chicken instead, lol.
Service is good and so is the food. Still sad there is no self-service salad bar thing where I can get onions and cilantro but you can ask for a bag of it by request at least.
Atmosphere is decent for what this is and it's clean enough.

I’ve ordered from this location several times and they constantly forget the dressing for the salad. It’s honestly ridiculous. How hard is it to include dressing with a salad? The food ends up incomplete and practically inedible. Even when I stop my entire day to try to give it away to someone who’s hungry, they can’t really enjoy it because it’s a dry, flavorless mess. So either I waste the entire meal, or I waste my time trying to fix someone else’s incompetence and give it away to a homeless person that can’t even have a good salad lol. It’s not just annoying, it’s careless and shows zero respect for customers or food. Do better.

I work in Downtown LA and come here for a hearty meal. Ordered 2 piece meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and beans. I asked for extra gravy and cashier was very nice and gave me extra gravy. All cashiers I have had all very kind. Thank you.

Very unpleasant experience, the taste of the food was very disgusting, the rice tasted like plastic, the whole place smelled like a bathroom and was very dirty in general, the service was terrible. It was disappointing.
