One of my favorite places to get a quick but fresh and delicious meal and a glass of wine. The patio is beautiful and perfect and everyone is really nice. Perfect for post-gym or work, date night, business lunch, just about any occasion. Good noise level too. Salmon bowl, three sides, or the pizza are in my regular rotation. There’s a ramp on the side for those who can’t do stairs. Few parking spaces in the front but there’s usually pretty easy street parking. One of my go-to’s!

I really enjoyed this place! It’s tucked away where I wouldn’t come upon it by accident, a friend had given the recommendation. I wasn’t sure about the miso latte, but the person taking my order gave me really good insight and was very knowledgeable, and I ended up loving it as well as the food!

What a find! A Los Angeles treasure- hideaway with wood floors and gorgeous patio. The service and food is out of this world! The chopped salad and agua Fresca is my go to! All the pastries are delicious. This is FARM TO TABLE. Lovely and perfect. Thank you!

Ugh, I don’t want to review this place because I don’t want to give away one of the best places to eat in Los Feliz because I’m worried it will get too crowded. That being said, I’m reviewing this because google will give me more points and some kind of google scout badge if I review more places. I have no idea what the points are for? Do I turn in my google points for a prize? The future is unknown. Forage is wonderful. The food is made with quality ingredients and the atmosphere is soothing. I can’t quite put my finger on what the aesthetic is. It feels like a weird architectural mash up of French and Japanese. I can’t really describe what kind of food they serve either? Elevated American? Vaguely European? I dunno, but it’s all very tasty and looks beautiful. The people that work there are very friendly. The outside patio is nice if you like to eat with a dog in your lap. I don’t like to eat around dogs so I never go on the patio.

Overall a trendy spot in Silver Lake. Feels a bit like they try too hard. Quality ingredients and their own spin on dishes. Some of which are pretty good and others not as good. If you don’t like something that they recommend, they make it a bit of a choir to return it.

I have always ordered The Salmon Bowl for the last several years. I have not found a place yet to replace this dish closer to home. Today, it still tastes the same.

CHOCOLATE CHIP cookie is the best I have eaten. I am not a fan of cookies.

The chef is a genius who created this dish at Forage.

Different location but the same taste.

Please do not change it. Its very sad that most restaurants charge more and have changed the ingredients these days.

Parking was challenging.

Can’t believe I just found this spot, it’s actually one of my favorites in Silver Lake. Forage reminds me of a less snooty and crowded Sqirl. It’s one of the best all around menus in town and everything from
the salmon belly tacos to the beef bowls to the gluten free brownies is insanely delicious. The servers are also so kind and attentive, it’s easy to order at the front and sit down. Their drink selection is also vast, I’d recommend their miso latte more than the strawberry matcha, but both were great. Overall, it’s genuinely a 10/10 and I cannot stop dealing with the terrible parking situation in order to eat here again and again.

Summary: If you want high quality food at 1/2 the price of a 5- star restaurant, this is it!

Have you ever longed to walk into the backyard of a great cook's home and simply able to mingle with local people for great food, feeling welcomed? Forage is the closest to your imagination.

I am not a foodie. I don't really care about restaurant once I learned about the business long time ago. I never talked to restaurant people. I get it. Restaurants need to make money, and most of the time, they cut cost by sacrificing the quality of each ingredient. Cheaper egg, cheaper tomato, cheaper potato, cheaper steak meat and chicken... Well, at the end, every restaurant was my disappointment because I always wanted good ingredients. Food should be flavorful by itself without much seasoning. But those ingredients are usually channeled to fancy 5-star restaurants. And they are beyond my means. I can't afford to dress up and go to those top restaurants all the time. So I never looked to visit any restaurant for the past 20 years. We rather buy high quality vegetables, fruits and meat. We cook at home most of the time... Except when kids asked for something. So take-out foods were our routines for a long time... Until I stepped into Forage almost by accident for a friend's birthday party. The food at the dinner was memorable for me. We shared multiple dishes, and every single one of them broke my prejudice about the restaurant business. The food with high quality ingredients. Menus are adjusted by season based on what's the best ones at that time. Light seasoning since every bite was of full flavor.

I came back for breakfast. Breakfast menus are $19 and under, and every bite is a joy. My son and I tried breakfast burrito and Avocado toast. I feel nourished. Good ingredients with its own flavor, coming together in orchestra. Stuffing yourself up with 2000 calorie burger with fries and soda makes you feel bloated. But the good quality food recharge your body when you need the rest and healing after a long week.

There's technically 4-car parking spots, but they are always full. So you have to park your car in the neighborhood and walk a little (0.1 mile at the most).
I love the outdoor ambiance once I walk up to the 2nd floor where the restaurant is. It really feel like you are in the backyard of someone's home. Or a large kitchen connected to backyard.

Kaylee was so helpful and kind— I’ll definitely be making my way back soon.

Really enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. The food is healthy and beautifully presented. We ordered salmon with two sides and chinese short rib(I'm not sure if I remember the menu name correctly).
