Solid Hamantaschen. The bigger ones are much, much better than the smaller ones (which tasted a little dry). The service is lovely.

Fred's was the first stop on our little self-made hamantaschen tasting tour of LA, and it didn't disappoint. This charming little bakery is run by absolutely lovely people, and I was very impressed by the hamantaschen. (Pro tip--the large hamantaschen are much tastier than the small ones. Not sure why.) I also couldn't resist trying a butter / sugar cookie, and it was delicious! Fred's was pretty pricy, which is the one thing that would keep me from returning, but overall quite good. Of all the stops, I would say this hamantaschen came in at a solid second place.

I bought a bottled drink from here, and I did not notice until I had already left the bakery that it expired on 10/23/2023. The drink is 3 months old. Please take better care of this.

Best bakery Good price and quality stuff. Great spot hidden. Better than all these on yelp, went to all 20 and this is far better than all the others

I have never been here before and stopped in for a bagel. I grabbed a croissant as well. The croissant was one of the best croissants I've ever had. Delicous!!! The bagel was good as well. I live in Santa Monica and would definitely consider driving here just for the croissant. The owner had a great sense of humor and had me laughing during my visit.

Very delicious croissants!! I had an almond croissant that was very fresh with a fantastic marzipan filling. The chocolate croissant was also wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try more.

Just the bare essentials. The Bakery was heavy on sweets and light on bread and rolls. The sandwich side had some Mediterranean sandwich fillings, but no egg salad, chopped liver, or smoked fish.

I have been going to Fred's bakery for almost 35 years. I absolutely love the danishes and the breads. The people are always kind and I remember as a little girl they would always give me and my siblings a free cookie. One of the best for sure!

I bought an almond croissant that was over $8.00 on top of that it was old and dry. How can they charge so much when they can’t even have fresh bread.very disappointing.

Very little wait time the morning before the holiday. Lots available without having to pre-order. The challah was a good size, tasty and a reasonable price.
