One of the worst Dim Sum I have ever eaten ? Let me put it this way, I won't go there again even if the food is FREE. Those 5-Star rating are either fake or they have never been to a REAL Dim Sum before!!! We ordered:炸虾丸 (Fried shrimp ball)Cold and tasteless, tasted like leftovers锅贴 (Fried Dumpling)The skin is super thick and chewy, the fillings are tasteless. We complaint and was not charged.牛杂 (Beef Offal)Tasteless and cold牛百叶(Beef louver)Tasteless and cold白云凤爪 (Pickled chicken feet)Since this is supposed to be a cold dish, it's the best dish amongst all the bad蒸排骨 (Steamed pork riblet)Overcooked, tasteless and coldDon’t waste your money here, Chinatown’s Dim Sum are way subpar. Go to Dim Sum restaurants in San Gabriel Valley or Rowland Heights.Parking: Free parking with validation

I truly enjoy that this establishment is still going strong over the years. Ordered takeout here and was impressed by the large portions. My only complaint is that they go a little too heavy on the sugar / corn syrup. Chinese style eggplant with garlic shouldn’t be that sweet! The beef chow fun and fried shrimps were lovely.Otherwise though loved it here and order here regularly :)

We had late lunch with my family on 3/9/24 at 1:06PM, the lady who sat us immediately told us, " DON'T EAT TOO LONG OK, DON'T STAY TOO LONG OK, ONLY 1 HOUR STAY HERE". SHE THEN TOOK OUT HER PHONE AND SHOWED THE TIME 1:06PM. That was very mean, very inappropriate. We chose to stay because my parents, 5 yr old and 2 yr old were already sitting and I did not want to ruin the mood.Although the service was very fast, after placing our order, chow mien, walnut shrimp, beef and fried rice, everything arrived in about less than 5mins. That meant- it was not freshly cooked, been sitting there and ofcourse cold. We ordered more dimsum too but dimsums I know are already cooked and ready so it's fine.We live 45mins away from LA and we decided to try Goldren Dragon restaurant, but it was a bad decision. THIS IS A VERY HONEST REVIEW, THE RESTAURANT CAN VERIFY IF THEY WANT TO BY CHECKING THE CAMERAS IF THEY HAVE.Look for some other restaurants in LA Chinatown and enjoy your time with family with fresh food and good service.

I grew up going to Chinatown and suprisingly this was my first time in here. Now I know why my parents never took me here, the food is substandard. Service was non-existent as well. We were pretty much ignored any time we tried to wave someone down. My family and I came for dim sum after the Firecracker run, and we ordered a bunch of stuff off their paper menu - no dim sum carts here except for the porridge lady. Half of our order came out and we ate through it. But the quality of the food is not great. Sticky rice with chicken had soggy rice, not sticky. Har gow skins were mushy. Dumplings were still cold inside. Actually a lot of the food that was supposed to be hot was not really hot. I would stay the buns we got were the best of what we had. We waited...and waited... and waited for the other half of items we ordered and they never came. I asked them to follow up on our food, nothing came. We eventually gave up and decided to leave. My hubby said it was ok we never got the rest of our food (about another 8 dishes) because it probably would be just as bad as what we were already served. When the lady closed out our check, I told her the other half of our food never came. She ignored me, proceeded to ask how many boxes we needed to pack our food and left me with our check. I have low expectations of service at Chinese restaurants, but this place hit a new low. Everything about this experience was bad. Unless you want to dine in the restaurant where they filmed Netflix's The Brothers Sun, I would say skip this place.

It's a shame that most of our dishes were not hot. It was not usual that a dim sum place serving the tea without asking us what kind we would have liked. They must have had some issues so they could not serve the dishes when they were still hot.

I really wanted dim sum when I was in LA and I didn't know where to go. I went on TikTok and decided to see where I should eat. I saw this place that was located in Chinatown so I mean that should be authentic enough. I am kind of disappointed they didn't have the carts going around. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but it's so hard to get served water in Asian restaurants. We ordered shiu mai and that was my fave. The fried shrimp balls wasn't the one I was used to having because it wasn't coated with the egg roll strips, but the inside tasted the same. The har gow I think kept ripping from the dish so I was only able to get the shrimp from it. That was a waste of money. The shrimp noodle roll was yummy though. We also ordered kung pao chicken and that took awhile to come out, but my friend enjoyed it.

Came here for a Lunar New Year celebration. The food was okay, would only come back for the walnut shrimp though.

Service was terrible. 30 mins went by and no one even looked at our table's direction damn near had to cause a scene to get our order in. I hated the service but my GAAAWD that food was absolutely delicious. This was my first experience and I honestly don't know how to feel. Maybe next time we'll just get it to go..
