Absolutely fabulous! The beef tartare was superb. I had the black truffle risotto and there is nothing better than that on the menu in my personal opinion, rich, creamy, earthy, simply delicious. My mom had the crab pasta which was so complex, but the lumps of crab added such a lovely ocean flavor to every bite. Our server was incredible! She was so attentive and kind and patient with us. But the best part of the meal was the tiramisu, not your typical tiramisu but the chocolate record decoration made the whole evening. Also the cocktails were worth every penny, expertly crafted and unique.

What a great spot! The menu is filled with items that are as unique as they are delicious, and the service is superb. Can't argue with a rooftop bar, either. The history of the building only makes this place that much cooler.

Inside. Outside. It’s amazing. Different vibe. But all around amazing. Pricey for some folks, but worth it if you can.

From the moment we stepped in until the moment we left - the service, food, and ambiance were all stupendous. Chef Blake's menu is top- notch... fresh ingredients and delicious choices. Cocktails were prepared beautifully and the music was great. For amazing food, music, cocktails - Grandmaster Recorders is the place to go!!

Couldn’t fault it. Wait service was very good. Food was incredibly tasty with good portion size. Octopus and focaccia to start, Pork with aubergine, and beef ravioli - would definitely go back again. Atmosphere was great, awesome rooftop bar for pre or post drinks too.

We took our UK friends to Grandmaster Recorders. One's a guitarist and writer for guitar magazines, and we thought he'd enjoy the location. Our server, Kevin R., was excellent - super friendly and attentive. Our meals were outstanding, and we were delighted with our experience.

They made it so easy to host a birthday gathering on the rooftop and the drinks, food, and service were perfect. The vibe was also way more relaxed and fun than I thought it would be—it wasn’t too much of a “scene”. Loved it and can’t wait to go back!

We've been to the rooftop a few times now. Nicely set up bar and lounge seating. Appetizers and small plates are good. Cool rooftop bar.

I attended a listening party. I had one non-alcoholic drink in their downstairs bar. Great venue, and look forward to dining there soon.

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, definitely one of the best I've had so far in LA. Carrots side was out of this world! Great service, everyone was really lovely and helpful. We got our table ready 30min after the booking but they totally made up for it. Highly recommended!

The food and ambiance is amazing went there for the NY eve dinner party, the service was good, they had a fixed menu for six course dinner, but were accommodating when we requested for mix of vegan and meat

This was an interesting find. You may drive past the restaurant without taking much notice. The decor is true to its name as classic record albums line the hallway. The seating is very comfortable at this restaurant.Every dish was well prepared and outstanding. Focaccia is warm with the crust being crunchy while the inside is just the right amount of softness. The aged balsamic goes well with the butter. All of the pasta dishes were unique and the flavors were well presented. For example, the Madeleine has an abundance of seafood taste in its sauce with all of the noted ingredients presented. The pizza dough is thin but the ingredients were on the light side.

This is favorite restaurant. Food was better last summer that I had the full course menu. On New Year's Eve, everything was wonderful as usual but l would ask little different option of food menu next event. I needed less cheese and more spice on appetizers. Main dish was excellent. I should asked some pepper and sauce. Everyone enjoyed the dinner.
