Greekmans is truly a hidden gem in Silver Lake! The atmosphere is inviting, and the food is nothing short of amazing—authentic Greek flavors that are both fresh and flavorful. The service was impeccable, with the staff making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try for anyone craving top-notch Greek cuisine. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you so much for a memorable evening and birthday celebration ??

I really like the decor of this Mediterranean place and the selection of Greek wines. The food is tasty but definitely too salty (maybe I was unlucky). I ordered octopus and was a bit burnt on the outside, but it was deliciously paired with mayo and lemon. I would go back, but ask them to ease on the salt. Customer service was not bad… they welcome you, serve you the food and that’s it, nothing special.

We talked about the zucchini salad for days. Greekmans is a neighborhood gem. The Souvlaki party was a delicious sampling of each of each of their kabobs served with soft, homemade pita and a lick-your-fingers sauce. The cocktails were interesting and complex. Service was friendly and very attentive. We will be back!

Slow service despite being only one of two parties in the restaurant. Some of the dishes were astoundingly, such as the $16 village salad that looked like it was a single tomato and cucumber cut up with a 2x1 inch block of feta and the hummus side that was $3 for essentially a spoonful. The chicken souvlaki, beans, and lamb were good but did not make up for the other negative aspects, and then being forced to pay another 18% service charge on top of that felt like insult to injury.
The food quality is fine as in everything is edible but the portions are for ants - so small! So stingy on the portion sizes, not at all like what a real Greek restaurant would have. See pic for how big the hummus is.
The Greek salad was half a tomato, half a cucumber, and 3 ounces of cheese. And it cost $16 (not including the 18% automatic gratuity).
There is a 18% gratuity included but it is not a tip. However the staff aren’t really working for tips there. Slow and combative. They’ve tried communism in other countries and it didn’t work… why should it at Greekman’s
This place feels like the manager is a freshly minted MBA who ran some analytics on the menu to min/max profit margins. However, doesn’t seem like this manager went to Harvard Business School. More like clown college. The manager doesn’t realize that you can only have profits if you have customers, and the way to keeping customers is not through stinginess and shrinkflation.
Tasty food, bad value

The food was quite tasty and high quality, though the dip portions on the souvlaki “party” were almost insultingly small (given they’re the cheapest items in the dish). The service was nice, knowledgeable, and consistent. The white wine bottle was lovely. I would sit inside instead of in the patio, and the inside is beautiful, while the patio was decorated nicely, but inescapably reminds you that you’re technically eating in the parking lot. My only main gripe is the 18% service charge that explicitly states that it’s not inclusive of gratuity. This says, in a somehow unspoken manner, that there’s an expectation that you’ll be parting with at least an additional 30% of the cost of the meal, not forgetting the 10% sales tax too. ?
Vegetarian options: There were a handful of vegetarian menu items from which to choose.

Everything was made fresh and with great quality food. We ordered the grilled octopus, it had great flavor & grilled nicely but still very chewy and somewhat tough. Probably should have been boiled a little longer before grilling. Lamb chops were the best dish but the portions were small. All in all 6.8 out of 10 bigger portions would change my mind
Poor service; staff doesn't make minimal efforts to be friendly. The food is good but has room for improvement. The ambiance is charming but tables are too close of each other; you listen to every table's conversation, and some are senselessly very loud.
