Ordered two frozen chicken tamales on the phone. No problem. Go there, reiterate I do not want them heated. Explains to the cook. Three times. Pretty sure he gets it. Walk back home. They are heated. I’ve been trying to reach corporate for weeks about the huge amount of noise coming from their new location in Long Beach. I finally called this location to try to get corporate phone number and spoke to a girl who kept insisting she was being polite to me as she talked with the most Condescending, rude, lecturing voice and would not give me the phone number unless I allowed her to continue to lecture me about how polite she was being. Guisados is a restaurant that serves delicious, gourmet-style tacos with homemade tortillas cooked to order. The menu features a variety of flavorful braised meats and seafood, including cochinita pibil, bistro, tinga, camarones, and steak tacos. The portions are small, but the flavors are amazing, making it a great spot to try a few different options. The staff is kind, friendly, and helpful, and they happily accommodate dietary restrictions. Customers have noted that the service is fast and the staff is very nice, with some even mentioning specific team members who were especially helpful. Be prepared for a pricier meal, but it's worth it. Guests should not forget to try the signature chipotle sauce and a refreshing drink, like an Armando Palmero or the cantaloupe agua fresca. The restaurant is also noted for its cleanliness and authentic Mexican food. While parking can be a challenge, many agree it is worth the struggle to enjoy the delicious offerings.
