This place has the best Japanese bentos! Everything is super fresh from the side dishes to the protein mains. The salmon and mackerel are grilled to perfection. They also change up the side dishes so it’s not always the same.

we ordered a big catering order from guzzu for an office meeting. It was phenomenally good. The food was packaged really well, was hot, fresh, and delicious, and a huge hit. The salmon was moist and flavorful, the vegan katsu was surprisingly delicious, ans both the grilled chicken and fried chicken were really good. Will definitely be ordering from them again, and can’t wait to stop in to try non-catering!

Dietary restrictions: Vegan Katsu was delicious

Hubby saw this place on social media and we decided to try it out as I love bentos!! We ordered ahead on their website in case busy in store (Saturday lunch). Was a very easy process and total wait was about 25 minutes so not bad at all. But when we got there not a lot of people so totally could’ve just ordered there (about the same wait or slightly faster maybe).

I got the mackerel bento. Wow the fish is grilled perfectly outside yet so buttery inside! I was worried fish might be dry but not at all! The flavor was on point as well - savory, umami but not overpowering so you can still taste the fish. Hubby got the hamburger steak which was also delicious and covered in truffle demi glaze. All bentos come with rice (with egg yolk), pickles and assorted side dishes. One of the reason I love bentos is it’s very well balanced, with protein, carbs and vegetables. And everything tasted so good here! Not to mention that cute packaging so neat! Oh and we also got chicken karaage which is great too but I prefer the bentos.

It’s located in an industrial area so not exactly little Tokyo. Inside is spacious, sleek and modern looking with free water and chocolate espresso beans. What a treat this place! We will definitely be back!

This time I went to the actual shop instead of ordering online and I'm glad I did. Very hospital and kind people, the food is always cooked to the perfection and you can taste and see the care of their work in their dishes. I'd recommend fish dishes generally cause of my preferences but anything you order would be great. They gained a loyal customer!

Guzzu Bento is a hidden gem in LA. Anthony, the restaurant owner, patiently explained the menu. The food was amazing, especially the mackerel and jidori chicken karaage. Overall, the quality was top notch, making it a must visit spot for Japanese food lovers.

Delicious bento at a reasonable price and good portion!! I had a mild Jidori Chicken Karaage bento which was great! The chicken was meaty with the right amount of crunchiness, and all the sides were delicious. I will definitely return and try other items as well.

Good service, clean dining area, and free parking spaces right in front.

I got back from my first-ever trap to Japan a few weeks ago and I've been missing it ever since. On a whim, my buddy brought me to eat at Guzzo Bento-ya and everything about it brought me back. The atmosphere, the lovely presentation of the food, the deliciousness of the food (I got the spicy chicken karaage, and goodness gracious!), and the kind staff. Thank you to Guzzo Bento-ya for mending my poor, broken heart, even if just for a moment.

-slighty sketchy area of arts District (surrounded by warehouses) but dining area inside is nice; street parking free-seasonal sides-seems to be more of a take out place but option to dine inside-good drink selection-clean restrooms
