Everything was well prepared and well marinated, and the service was excellent, we had a nice discussion with the waitress about Persona.

At 4:30 pm we walk in and nobody comes to seat us. Not a big deal. I walk toward the back and ask to be seated and was ushered away like I wasn't supposed to be there. The bathroom had water or some other liquid all over the floor. Almost the entire floor. When I sit down, the table is sticky, the chair is sticky and the menus are all sticky. We left. Couldn't imagine eating any of their food after all that.

i have been to gyu kaku more than 50 times, different locations. this location is by far the worst location. our oven was broken and not cooking any of our food. when we asked to change tables they refused (even tho there are tables available) and told us that they can our food in the kitchen and bring it back to us ... that takes the whole experience of bbq. haven't had a worse experience in my life. we obviously left.

Great place for large groups. Food is amazing, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The all you can eat is well worth it. The beer tower is also great too. Sometimes service can be slow but understandable on busy

went with a group of 7, takes reservations so as long as the entire party is there on time, you'll be seated promptly. it's a small restaurant but i like that our group had our own large table with two grills. it does get busy though, so you'd have to hail down someone to continue ordering. AYCE time limit begins with the first round/order, and menu has so many options - from appies to desserts. they don't have radish paper but their garlic rice was so good! especially loved topping our dinner off with s'mores grilled over the fire.

I've had Gyu-Kaku in Japan Mainland China and Hong Kong. First time trying it in the US and I like it very much. The price is reasonable and considerably cheap for LA but the food is fantastic. Would recommend. The only thing is it does not have the nori seaweed bbq sauce rice that the stores in other countries have, but the rice here is also good.

It's not a bad spot. Took my wife and sons out to eat for one of their birthdays, and we enjoyed it. Some cuts of meat are too thick.Great service. It is on the expensive side for no real reason. No preset sauces. Does offer take out.Limited parking, but it is LA!

Diana was our server but the service here was more than excellent! Everyone was so nice, so caring and there was not one server who did not ask if we were okay! The food was great and we did not have to wait for anything. I would definitely return here and recommend everyone that if you're debating because it's a little too far, TAKE THE DRIVE! It is worth it I promise! Thank you all for such great service! Kudos to the whole team!

Food is good but management and staff are rude and grossly incompetent. Management specifically was disrespectful towards our entire party. Will not be returning.

Rice was terribly overcooked, unacceptable from a Japanese restaurant. White rice was so uncooked to the point it resembled mochi. Do NOT eat at this location for the love of god. If you can't get simple Japanese white rice right then I have no hope for the rest of your dishes.
