Clean, cozy restaurant with a nice selection of food. Extensive happy hour menu and the sushi was very fresh and authentic. We just dropped by because we were looking for a place near our appointment. But it was good; I would go there again.

This place has been in business for years, and it's not because they have spent any time or money trying to juice the algorithm-- Maps seems to ignore this joint, but you shouldn't. I saw one review claiming it isn't a good value. That seems insane to me. The bento boxes were legit. Brought the kids here and they went absolutely nuts for all the food on offer. We ordered enough during happy hour that we went home with another whole meal.
Service was great, place was calm and quiet, which we greatly appreciate. Kids can't wait to come back. Neither can the parents.

Service was good. Food was okay. Value was poor.
I ordered an happy hour Bento Box for about $25. HH menu is supposed to be a deal, but it was disappointed. Other than the entre aka protein, you get 5 kinds of veggies sides: Cucumber salad, seaweed salad, green salad, vegetable tempura, fruits. I almost thought I ordered something vegan! Most of the bento box at other restaurants would at least offer some kinds of protein or carbs like gyoza or California rolls. All the food tasted fine but felt blend.
I left the restaurant hungry after spending over $30 at for happy hour food, and I am not happy.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here and discovered a neighborhood gem! Sushi was fresh and delicious, the rolls were exceptionally good and the izakaya menu was very tasty and fun to explore with generous portions. With such a varied menu, we want to return and try more. Service was kindly and attentive and the atmosphere is very welcoming and serene. It's that rare place where any one can feel comfortable dining, solo, couples or groups. Prices are reasonable, and the happy hour is great! Thank you Hamakaze for a good night of fun and happy eating.

We've been frequenting this restaurant for over 2 years now. Sometimes on a weekly basis for months in a row!!
We absolutely love the fresh sushi, service and chef! I am adventurous and try different things on the menu frequently... and have loved it all!!
Parking: Generally there's always a spot available on the street upfront (meters free after 8 PM), or free parking on the side street.

Food was amazing! Unassuming location and almost missed it as I was driving by but will definitely make this a repeat spot on my rotation. Amazing balance and nuance to the dishes and the proprietors were so warm and welcoming. Sake recommendations were spot on. Will highly recommend to all my friends and family.

A wonderful relaxing and delicious sushi restaurant. A favorite of ours. Incredibly sashimi, rolls and even options for non-sushi lovers like our kids. So lucky to have near by! We love it!

I can only speak from a food pick up perspective, but for the affordable price point it's Soo good! definitely recommend their California roll, salmon skin and Philadelphia roll! We typically get four roll and two miso soups which is just perfect for us and for about ~$50 for a whole meal for two not bad at all! definitely will eat in next opportunity

Cool little hidden sushi spot. From the outside looks unassuming but the place is good. Definitely check out their board specials.
