It's ok. There is nothing bad but nothing extraordinary either. Just another very expensive sushi place. We had high expectations after seeing the reviews. We ordered the tasting menu but comparing to some other places who have this option, this place did not impress us. That's all we have to say.

Good sushi, especially for the price.

One of our regular watering holes. Food is excellent, the service is very Japanese and friendly, and the atmosphere feels just outside of Tokyo.

Perfect Date Spot. I love the food, atmosphere, and the Tokyo banana dessert is unforgettable

Great renovated location with very warm decor. Fresh green tea using leaves not powder. Very inventive rolls. Very fresh fish. Highly recommend

I'll start be saying THANK YOU for the staff and chefs and every person who has made a wonderful night possible! There were 14 of us celebrating our friend's birthday! We were served attentively and thoughtfully! Food was amazing. We had the Omakase- my first experience ever! Found out a new love for otoro sushi- which I was never really fond of tuna sushi to begin with! The whole experience itself was memorable! We plan to come back again! Thank you!

Lunch for 2: Got Delux Moriawase, Sunset Roll, and Soba Salad. Soba Salad was a bit small for the price but tasted amazing. Miso soup and salad (comes with Moriawase) were excellent. Sushi was great and Spicy Toro Hand Roll was good as well. Only thing we did not like was the Sunset Roll. Wasabi fraiche and smoke roe did not compliment the flavor of overpriced and ultimately just regular salmon roll with just two gimmicky ingredients. However, everything else was amazing. Tables are very close to each other and it was very loud (mainly due to the four business men next to us were really loud). Still one of the better sushi places in an area already crowded with great sushi restaurants. Certainly will revisit.

Usually a sushi restaurant concentrates on creating a culinary experience based on nigiri and sashimi at the expense of providing a variety of food options. Hamasaku is one of those rare exceptions where the sushi is extremely fresh and delicious while the menu offers everything from yellowtail Kama to shishito peppers and krispy rice. Hamasaku sits in a strip mall next to a Carvel's ice cream shop so if you don't like any of the deserts at Hamasaku (the Yuzu cheescake is worth ordering), you can grab a scoop next door.

The sushi was premade came from the fridge. It was so cold. We ordered a roll and it didn't even take 60 seconds to come to our table, exactly the type of experience you can when you're spending hundreds of dollars on a dinner. The manager and the staff rushed our experience even though we weren't even there for an hour. When we complained our $20+ roll came freezing cold including rice, they obviously didn't do anything to remedy the situation. I don't understand the hype, nor I'll be back. Very disappointing first experience.

In a strip mall and has an almost hidden door (wooden) to get in, but seemed to be an extremely popular place. We waited for them to open at noon outside with around 15 other people. The food was incredible and they paid a lot of attention to detail in this place. Great menu.

Everything was fantastic! I had all 4 of the mackerel they had in stock, and it was the best I have ever had state side. The nigiri doesn't come with Wasabi underneath it. The miso was good, and the Hamasaku roll was fantastic! Loved the feel and vibe. Very good place to go for lunch or a date.
