Bossom, banchan - feels so healthy here. Can't say I'm a fan of kalguksu, tho. It's thick and bland for my taste.

Hangari proves time and time again that they're the best kalguksu you can get in so-cal! I've tried many kalguksu spots and Hangari's quality, portion size, textures, and flavors just can't be beat. My favorites are the chicken kalguksu and the spicy seafood kalguksu. I just recently found out you can make any of the soups spicy and discovered the joy of spicy chicken kalguksu. Their banchans are also well fermented and packed with tangy flavor that gets your mouth salivating! Parking is the only problem here, there's a small valet only lot and mostly street meter parking. Across the street H-mart has a lot, but you must purchase ~20bucks of groceries to get validated, and you're limited to 1 hour or you'll get charged additional! I wish there were more locations, I saw garden grove has a place with the same name, however the menu and dishes look completely different.

The food here? Incredible, especially the bossam and sujebi. Huge fan. The parking? The worst I have ever encountered. The valet company that services this plaza (Majestic Parking Plus) is by far the rudest and most unprofessional that I have ever encountered. The man at the front of the valet charged me $10 to park even though he told me originally $4, and asked if I was blind and couldn't see the signs that said if I left the plaza for even a minute it would be extra to park. I even showed him that I had just eaten at the restaurant but because I rounded the corner of the parking plaza he assumed I had left. He made me walk to the restaurant to show me the signs but again, I insisted I had just eaten there and was pulling up the receipt when he just turned around and told me $10 and was extremely condescending, and then yelled "f*** you" to my dad as we were leaving. When I paid him the $10, his staff pulled up my car extremely fast and unsafe through the parking lot. I wouldn't have been so upset about paying the $10 if it wasn't for his attitude, especially towards a woman. I would highly encourage the businesses in the plaza to reconsider their valet company they hired because I will not be coming back to this plaza if this valet company is still servicing them. Whoever was working at 4:30PM on 4/21/24 and seemed to be in charge of the valet stand should be fired.

There's always going to be a long line at this restaurant. The noodles are better than what you get in Korea.

This was my first time trying korean noodle and it was positive. The portion was huge and good enough for two people. The broth was rich and hearty. Love it!!! The con was the parking. We didn't know that they didnt validate for the adjacent parking garage and got charge $20 for one hour parking. Be aware!!!

Hangari serves up the best kalguksu/knife-cut noodles in town--it's easily a top 5 restaurant in Koreatown for me! Their barley rice with ssamjang is an appetizer they always provide before your order comes. Mixed with sesame oil and soybean paste, it sets the tone for a flavorful meal. They also offer a variety of delicious kimchi side dishes. My go-to order here is the Chicken Kalguksu. The knife-cut noodles are chewy and always freshly made! The portions are generous, and the chicken is super tender and juicy. I've tried the seafood kalguksu before as well but the chicken soup kalguksu is my personal favorite. The only downside is the parking situation in the busy and compact plaza. However, Hangari's service, vibe, and consistently high food quality make it worth the effort. I'll definitely be back for more kalguksu!

A bit al Dante than I was used to but I'm no expert so I said why not. It was good. The pumpkin or squash they used was amazing. Pricey. This place could use another waiter or waitress. Our weren't rude. Personally, she wad great.

Love this restaurant! Very good food and price is reasonable because their portions are big. I would definitely come again!

Ordered here on DoorDash on a rainy day. Loved it so much. So yummie! I got the seafood one.

Delicious hand-cut noodles served with a rich yet light broth. The broth is satiating and refreshing on a cold evening. The bossam (the pork dish) has a lot of meat and nice complimenting veggies. Personally, I could do with more veggies but to each their own. You can ask for more if you want. Service seems rushed all the time. There's always a line here so servers are trying to get people moving in and out as quickly as possible. The shortest wait I've had was probably 15 min when neighboring restaurants were empty... open but empty. In addition to its popularity, parking sucks. It's normal ktown parking but a tiny valet area, so try to get lucky with street parking and walk over.

We got seafood kalguksu, sujaebi and bossam. They were all SO good! This is now one of our favorite restaurants in town.Note: The valet parking is $4. We were charged $10 because they saw us come from outside the parking lot. We ate at Hangari and went for a walk. The valet guy was rude about it and said they were going to charge extra for not picking up the car after dining. We obviously didn't know about it. I know it's not the restaurant fault but it would have been nice if they mentioned it.Parking: $4 for valet parking. Extra charge if you don't pick up your car right after dining.

Chicken 닭칼국수 - Chicken & anchovy broth with half chicken, zucchini, kabocha, potato, dried date & onion Best chicken noodle soup I've ever had lol. The chicken anchovy broth was super flavorful. The homemade noodles had the perfect chew. Chicken was tender. Portions were big. Would be 5 stars but kimchi was bland and I noticed they give more banchan dishes to the table next to us for reasons unknown. Lots of tables but the restaurant is also super popular so keep that in mind on the weekends. Valet parking is cheap.

Food did not disappoint! Kalguksu noodles were cooked to the perfect texture, broth was on point, and portion size was just huge. Highly recommend their mandu as well. Usually restaurant kimchis taste meh and are nowhere near as good as a Korean mom’s, but their yeolmu kimchi got pretty close!
