Ray's Reviews
First time visiting Ray’s on the River, and it definitely won’t be my last. The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, and the food truly stood out. I had a steak that was probably one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. An all-around fantastic experience, and I’m already looking forward to going back.
Enjoyed our birthday brunch for Dad's 83rd Birthday. Great food, quick service. Shout out to our wonderfully patient server, Brianna! 11/2/25
It's sad when an iconic restaurant loses its edge. This has happened with Ray's on the River. The setting next to the Chattahoochee River is fantastic so that hasn't changed but the flavor of the food and moreover the service has plummeted. Our group of 8 ladies were given such poor service even after speaking with two managers and that indicates a deep company problem. Our servers ignored us even when they were at the table next to us. Ray's is a hidden gem in West LA, offering a variety of delicious options. The double bacon cheeseburger with fries is a filling and flavorful choice, with well-cooked and seasoned ingredients. The menu is large, featuring phenomenal dishes like the Patty Melt, which is filled with cheese and large patties, and the chicken teriyaki, served with rice and veggies and covered in sauce. The beef teriyaki plate is described as epic, made with top-of-the-line cuts of meat.
The owner, Ray, is hands-on and ensures that every sandwich is made with love. Customers are treated to samples of refreshing agua fresca while waiting for their meals. The service is quick, and everything ordered comes out fast, with reasonable prices that make it a great value. Although parking can be tricky in this part of town, it is possible to find street parking nearby. Ray's is designed for to-go orders, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for tasty food at fair prices.
