I've been to a lot of Michelin restaurants around the world and this is easily a one star. Fantastic food and service and the pacing was perfect. Just look at the fish main course... Grilled perfectly on charcoal. Definitely coming back next time I'm in

We had tried out the new a la carte menu that started Aug '24 and enjoyed ourselves! We had gotten 5 dishes and they were all pretty solid. We almost got a second order of the blue prawn donuts because they were incredible. We also loved the sweet corn dessert, the perfect way to end the meal. Our only complaint was that the rice felt a bit cold and crunchy by the time it got to us, as though it were prepared a bit in advance and sat. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend!

Parking: We had gotten there early (30 mins after they opened) and snagged a spot, but as we were getting out of the car, there was a valet that had put cones in front of the remaining spots as though to take for themselves. If you don't get there early, you may need to find parking outside of the attached lot.

A while ago, during LA restaurant week, a friend recommended this small fine dining restaurant called hibi., located in an inconspicuous plaza in Koreatown. The restaurant week menu is the same as their usual menu, but the price is a little cheaper so it's a good deal. There are 7 dishes in total, and it's really a surprise!

All the dishes are delicious! It's a Japanese-Korean fusion restaurant so every dish has a flavor that suits my Asian stomach. There are uni sea urchins, wagyu beef, and lamb chops. There was just one dish that confused me. It was labeled geoduck (the foam clay pot rice) but what I ate was clearly abalone. But then I forgot to ask where the geoduck was. How could I, who loves geoduck so much, not tell it apart? But it doesn't matter, it's delicious anyway. The black sesame ice cream for dessert is also delicious.

They change the menu every season, but the quality should be guaranteed. Anyways, I like it very much. The only downside is that they are a little slow in serving the food, but I can wait for the delicious food!

I dined at this restaurant with high expectations, especially given its listing in the Michelin guide. The menu, which appears to change periodically, offered dishes that were underwhelming both in flavor. For the price we paid, I expected a higher standard of cuisine and a more memorable experience. The disparity between the cost and quality of the food was disappointing. I'm usually willing to pay a premium for exceptional dining, but this time, the value simply wasn't there. Overall, the high price tag did not match the food and experience provided.

Overall cute place and nice ambience. But overall, high price was not worth the food and experience. And I generally have no problems spending the money if it's worth it. Think I was misled by its listing on the Michelin guide.

Beautiful peaceful restaurant with very helpful staff. The food was ok, with some courses lacking any memorable flavors while others had some mild interesting notes. The desserts were the true star of the meal - shiitake mushroom mouse on meringue!? Somehow it worked and was a great way to start the meal!

Every dish was a masterpiece. Beautiful, great presentation, & service was impeccable!!! We were so impressed at their hospitality & the owner himself meets his guests. His wife is a pastry chef & we were hooked on her sweet creations!

I was really looking forward to spending a special day here with my partner. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing and didn't justify the price. What we received was mediocre and fell short of our expectations. It seems the menu changes periodically, but the current offerings are definitely not worth the cost.

We booked because of the uni normally on the menu, but were notified as we sat down that they were out of uni. That said the meal set before us was fantastic, there were several parts of the set that I wished I could have gotten a second course of it. The overall meal was fantastic and served with little time between courses. I'd recommend this to friends and will be back.

One of the best surprises we have had in a while this restaurant really delivered in all levels. Great vibe, good service, and really unique and tasty food. We tried several things and the only thing that didn’t work for us was the stuffed chicken wings, we were not a fan of the chewy skin. Unfortunately that was the only dish we remembered to photo. Definitely a must-return.

I preferred when the restaurant allowed for a la carte dining. The tasting menu was good. However doesn't inspire me to return as regularly as I would if they continued with their previous concept. I thought the dining was too long, not a great enough value, and not enough of my old a la carte favorites. I would probably return to Hibi 2xs a year for the tasting menu vs monthly for their previous menu.

Every dish was amazing, The staff were so gracious, knowledgable and very friendly. The decor and ambience was minimal but beautiful All very thoughtful. The music was perfect and at a level you can enjoy it but also have a conversation without havbinbg to raise your voice , even a little bit.
