Ordered a tempura spicy tuna roll from here and experienced the worst food poisoning ever. I did notice it tasted a bit off, but didn’t think anything of it and sadly woke up through the middle of the night with cold sweats and throwing up all night. I wish I had listened to the other reviews when they said not to order from here. Let this be your sign if you’re seeing this.

Price is not worth it. I ordered from Uber eats and they charged me extra asking for soy sauce, chopsticks and spicy mayo when it should’ve came with if I’m paying $36 for just 2 rolls…..

This place has to be the worst sushi I had in my life. It just didn’t hit at all. Number one the price was ridiculous for classic rolls. Somehow, I ended up spending close to $35 for two classic rolls and one of them was a California roll. The wait time I was the only one ordering at the time and there was no other orders. The guy in the kitchen was literally just standing around, but for some reason, it took 20 minutes for my food to come out and I just order 2 rolls. When the rose came out, I got it to go. I came home open it up. I thought I was being pumped or something because they were so small. They were like maki rolls. Then on top of that, they tasted horrible. Ralphs California rolls are 10 times better than those. Maybe I was being too harsh at the time, but it left a bad taste in my mouth and I haven’t been back since.

Overpriced, slow on the service and undesirable.

Don’t get me wrong we all know we’ll wait and pay as much needed for some good Sushi rolls, but that place is not worth it.

I don't know why this spot isn't rated higher, honestly. The fish is always fresh and high-quality, and everything is very fairly priced. The surrounding neighborhood is a little rough around the edges, but the food is worth it.

Ordered delivery from Hollywood Sushi and it did not disappoint. The Monroe Roll and Baked Salmon Roll were both amazing—fresh, flavorful, and arrived in perfect condition. The Monroe Roll had the perfect spice and crunch, and the baked salmon was rich and delicious. Easily one of the best delivery sushi experiences I’ve had. Will definitely order again!

We live in the neighborhood and have been getting takeout from Hollywood Sushi for years when craving casual, reasonably priced sushi to eat at home. Obviously, the 5 stars is not on the same level as Matsuhisa, but to reflect a solid neighborhood restaurant. The sushi/rolls have always been fresh and tasty, and we've never had any issues with the quality of the food or service.

The woman, possible the owner, that took my order never once smiled, greeted me and basically never said a word to me, as I ordered. The overall condition of the restaurant was cold and barren, I could see why no one else was there, except me. When my order was ready, she just handed it to me, never once thanking me or saying a word. The Sushi was poorly rolled and barely edible. I would have been better served and received the same, IF not better, quality of food from the 7-11 next door.

I did not eat there but this is a PSA: THE PLACE IS NOW TAKEOUT ONLY, NO MORE ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT. Me and my husband came here for all you can eat sushi after doing online research and we were really sad to find a bare-bones, industrial takeout counter with no seating. Technically it’s still a sushi place called “Hollywood sushi” so not sure if it’s appropro to flag google to delete it—but all past reviews from when it was a sit-down place are NOT relevant.

The rolls are overpriced and not very good. The woman taking the order was rude. They don't have public restrooms even if you order food. They don't give tap water. You're just as well off getting a 7-11 roll for less $$

Possibly the worst sushi I’ve ever had, rude staff, they focus on delivery, and making profits.

Hi, this is our first time at this restaurant, it's very unfortunate to have received our Spicy tuna crispy rice. With a stable?! Like what?!From a far my husband thought it was a piece of onion as well as i.But then we realized it was a staple. Please check your food.I tried calling the restaurant yet the call didn't go through.I would like a refund for that dangerous order with the staple.Very unfortunate. ?

Good sushi

We ordered from there - and it was probably the worst sushi I ever had - not fresh at all - must have been sitting pre-made in the fridge. Ridiculously huge chunks of fish. No fresh ginger or wasabi but from little plastic sachets - tasted awful. Nothing good in the entire order!
