I'll let you into a little secret: this is where all the locals eat. Black, white, brown, Asian. English, Spanish, Patwa, Korean. Everybody loves Honeybees and if you eat here youll know why. Classic American dishes with a hint of Salvadorian flavor. I grew up in pico union so this place feels like home. They used to even put the hot chocolate in these beautiful mugs with a little bee on it but over time people broke them sadly. As I said, this is the hole-in-the-wall experience you're looking. Afterwards, a quick walk and you'll find a record store, independent fashion boutiques, and much more. Easily some of the best breakfast you can have on Adams maybe even all of LA.
Why does it say this restaurant identifies as black owned if that's not the case??
It was a pleasant surprise when I walked in. The atmosphere is inviting. The food was amazing and the selection was great. I definitely will be going back.

I ordered the house special, it comes with delicious hotcakes. Hands down best in LA. It's family owned so you'll have that good house made feeling. And spotting their regulars seal the deal. You know the food is good when people keep coming back.
My boys are obsessed! We come to Honeybees at least twice a month.
The prices are good and the food is even better.
The owners are very friendly.
We were glad to see them adapt and make it through the pandemic. This is a neighborhood gem.

Great place for a full American breakfast and other fine foods. Not haut couture, but good for what they do.

We walked in for lunch and were immediately seated. The server was very attentive and we liked the vibes: diner meets real Salvadoran food.
We got the basic breakfast and the ranchero , both were amazing! We had one vegetarian and one dairy-free, and we both were extremely satisfied with it choices. The platano frito was perfect; the cheese and Loroco pupusa was amazing; the coffee was just meh, and everything else was delicious and very authentic. We both loved it and can’t wait to go back!

The food was excellent. You can tell they use good, fresh ingredients. The waiter had such a good attitude and we didn't have to wait long to order nor to receive our food. The place is clean and the branding is really cute! They even have kids options!

The food was good when I eventually got it an hour and a half later .Pickup or not you’ll for sure be waiting forever before you even get your food so if you want food here be ready for the terrible wait time
