A very popular restaurant in Los Angeles I’ve been wanting to try. We finally go and the hostess is one of the rudest ladies we’ve ever encountered. Genuinely hates working. They should put their sommelier at the front who’s super friendly and actually knows how to talk to people. The food and cocktails are a bit overpriced. The best part is the bread and butter. That translates over to great desserts which the butter is used in. If it was my first time I’d grab a drink a the bar with bread and butter and maybe share a dish with someone.

The aesthetic here is quite beautiful. Made by a graffiti artist Kacper Abolik, horses and other subjects adorn the walls as you eat in the back room. Many dishes make a correlation to horses as well. The hot plate is a horse shoe. The butter is molded into a horse. The details really make the experience. The cocktails and wine selection is lovely as well. It's a great place to go for date night!

After a comedy show, my boyfriend and I, along with friends, sought refuge from the rain at this charming spot. Valet parking for $7 saved us from the street hassle. Inside, we enjoyed tasty Old Fashioneds and Margaritas. The bell peppers stuffed with tuna were delicious, and the shared burger and fries were top-notch. Attentive service and a quirky horse video near the restroom added to the experience. Overall, a delightful post-show dining choice.

Drinks were good - mixed well by experienced bartenders.Food.. was… debatably good. Ordered the bread and butter, Caesar salad, sweet peppers stuffed with tuna, the $30 burger and the fish (can’t remember name but I think it was halibut?)I would say the standouts were the dishes that they aren’t most known for. The sweet peppers stuffed with tuna was delicious! So flavorful and kind of unique - how did they stuff the peppers without cutting them open? The fish was also well made. That sauce was creamy. Now the $30 burger while massive in size - flavor wise was.. okay. It’s a tasty burger no doubt but it’s not the best one I’ve had. I don’t know if $30 is a suitable price. But perhaps they are attributing that to the pound of fries served with it.And the Caesar… I can see that it’s a variation of a Caesar but I couldn’t eat more than three bites of it. That was weird. It seems like they change their menu often because the menu on their website was not the one at the restaurant.Id say it’s a good place to get a few drinks and share some appetizers with friends. In this case, don’t listen to social media and deviate off *that* menu.

Food was fantastic and lived up to our expectations, especially the Caesar. Unfortunately our server was inattentive and diminished the overall experience. One of our apps never arrived and we didn’t get our servers attention until after entrees came. By then, it had sold out and we didn’t have enough food for the evening. A disappointing experience as you want to enjoy not just great food but also a high level of service and ambience. We will come back but might just sit at the bar next time.

We went to horses on a cool January evening, and settled into a warm winters evening meal, with some of the best vegetarian secret pasta I’ve ever had. It is an off the menu item, that the kitchen does extremely well, and it isn’t shy on the garlic or other Italian flavors – so your wait staff for something a little bit different. Get the garden and Caesar salads, as they were extraordinary, and we finished every bite between the party of four I was with. Now the tiramisu, is one of the best dishes to order as a desert – it is brimming with fresh cocoa and coffee, and really was one of the best deserts I’ve had outside of Italy. If you can get a reservation, make it – you will not be disappointed. Kudos to Travis our waiter, he did a great job.

Horses is a lively spot with friendly service, a trendy LA atmosphere, making it a good choice for a vibrant dining experience that is not too much focused on the food itself but more so the atmosphere it offers.Food: The food is enjoyable, but the value for money might be questionable. The menu provides a variety of classic dishes with a modern touch. A standout item is the Horses Caesar salad.Service: The service at Horses is a great, with very friendly and nice staff. Their approach adds to the overall positive experience.Atmosphere: The restaurant's atmosphere is distinctly LA, creating a lively and loud environment. Well finally made it to Horses and boy wrf too me so long I have no idea but I have been missing out. Wow the food was beyond delicious and everything was flavorful. The spicy vodka pasta was just to die for better than Carbon. The burger has to be the best burger I have had in a long time. The drinks were strong and our waiter was very helpful with placing our order and the suggestions he had. I can’t wait to go back.

WOULD GO BACK IN A HEARTBEAT!You really do have to appreciate the whole vibe of this restaurant. It's versatile, warm, fun, and enticing. I really appreciated the staff and their professionalism & hospitality. If you don't order the Cesar salad, then you didn't really go to Horses in my opinion. Why is it not pictured? Yes, because I inhaled it. My Sazerac was well made, and I ordered their current take on a Vesper and enjoyed it very much. The burger was pretty good. I don't regret ordering it one bit; just happen to be more of a "smash-burger" guy. The dessert... goodness... the cheesecake with the pear - w o w - it was the right way to finish off my visit.

Arrived early for our reservation so we were welcomed to get a drink at the bar. The drinks were pretty good. The mezcal margarita was refreshing. In my opinion, the food was overrated. The cheeseburger in particular is not hype worthy, so I’m not sure why it gets so much praise. Wasn’t a fan of the raw onions and did not taste the caramelized onions. The generous serving of herbed fries on the side was good, but leaned salty. The steak tartare was so mid as well, not at all standout in any way.Wasn’t able to try the endive Caesar salad, nor the off menu pasta. If I ever go back, I’d give those a shot. But honestly, I’m not rushing to go back. Wouldn’t recommend it as a must go to restaurant.

Genuinely one of the best meals I've had in a long while. Horses is phenomenal and if you love a place that has great atmosphere, I recommend and DEMAND you go at least once to experience it. Order any crudo they have going on, the brown butter amber jack is life changing. Definitely order their signature endive caeser AND the burger. If the sungold pizza is in season GET IT. THE SWEETBREADS ARE A MUST (they are a little salty so fair warning). Honestly food would have been 5 stars, but unfortunately whatever abomination happened with the steak tartare made them go down to a 4 for that. IT WAS ABYSMAL, genuinely almost ruined my night. It's not your average tartare, the meat is not finely diced, but almost ground and gives off raw burger meat vibes. There was no acid, barely any salt and it genuinely made me feel sick. Thankfully we all only had a bite of it and moved on to better things, but holy wow... i don't think I'll be having a tartare for a while until that abomination of a dish leaves my memory forever. Service was okay, honestly our server had an easy section as we were outside and not in the busy area inside. They were pretty average, polite enough, but not welcoming and honestly didn't perk up until it was time to tip. We didn't even send the tartare back because it felt like they didn't care and seeing the full plate didn't even phase them. The host was great, super welcoming and just positive energy overall.I genuinely love horses. It's a great spot and worth it for any and all occasions! JUST DON'T GET THE TARTARE!

Started in the bar and was treated to a kind and knowledgeable bartender that allowed us to try a few wines before we settling with a natural Orange wine. Later my wife and daughter had the Hotel National . We moved from the bar area to the dimmly lit dinning room at our reservation time. We shared Ceaser salad and a cheese and spicy sausage with a light drizzle of honey panini sandwich for starters. From the first bite we looked each other with big smiles and couldn't praise the good enough. Sooo good! Ordered the off menu Herman Pasta, Hamburger-n-French fries and the butchers steak for our main course. The Pasta had a spicy vodka sauce coating the shelled pasta that had a baked parmesan crust that I couldn't get enough of. It was presented on metal plates and had a actual horse shoe to protect the table from the hot dish. Nice touch! The burger was cooked to perfection and the large pile of fries were a treat for all of us. My daughter love the butchers steak and potatoes. We choose the tiramisu for dessert. It's perfect for a group of three or four. Horses is a special place that is the perfect mix of passionate people, great food and wonderful ambience! I highly recommend you try Horses in West Hollywood.
