Whoa, the pain au chocolate was one of the best I've ever had. It's a lovely darker chocolate, & the flakiness was insane.
Their breads are soo good specially the sangak .
The best sangak bread in town.
I've tried different places, but this is my favorite bread with the original taste.
Insanely good bread. And all of the pastries and homemade jam are also delicious.
Damn good croissants 🥐 and bread 🍞. I love carbs!!!
Stopped by House of Bread in Westwood, a small but neat little bakery owned by a Persian woman. Tried their country sourdough, and overall, it was a good loaf. The crust had a nice crunch, and the aroma was spot on—earthy and inviting. The crumb, however, was a bit denser than expected, lacking the usual airy texture, and it leaned more on the chewy side. Still, the flavor was enjoyable, and it’s clear they use quality ingredients.
One suggestion for the owner: consider adding a bread slicer. It would make it much more convenient for customers who prefer pre-sliced loaves
I’m in LA for a few months for work, and on my walk to work, I love stopping here and picking up a delicious croissant. I’ve had the almond, cheese, ham & cheese, and plain croissant. Every single one of them is delicious! I can’t wait to try the chocolate croissant. I gobbled down the ham and cheese too quickly to snap a photo but ended up making a heart shape out of the wrapper. 🥐
The banana bread is also delicious!
Everything sold is delicious. They use quality materials. The products are fresh. I was surprised that sales were still being made under the conditions of the Covid period (it is not possible to enter, orders are made from the outside door).

I am a French American who is constantly looking for a decent (usually always overpriced) croissant in cities I visit in the states. The croissant here is top 3 (and $3.50 not $5??) god bless you house of bread. Thank you!! It’s a little dense but great taste and flakiness. All I was missing was a glass of milk (next time :))

The best family owned bakery in Los Angeles. The bread is very fresh and they use high quality products. I highly recommend getting the challah bread, the ham&cheese croissant, and the vegan banana bread.

Best bread and pastries in Los Angeles.
It’s a small operation, part and parcel of the level of quality here. Please ignore the imbeciles complaining they sometimes run out a particular item.

Hidden gem! One of the best bakeries in LA
I tried the Hummus, the flatbread and the chocolate croissant, I wanted the whole wheat bread but they didn't bake today.
They had a table in front of the shop so we don't go in , it is a small shop it seems new.
The flye bred was Okay, the Hummus I don't think I would order it again it was not that balanced, I tried to add olive oil to break it's sharp sourness but I have tried better than it.
Chocolate croissant was not that special
