We live adjacent to The Village. After taking our late-afternoon stroll through UCLA and about, we headed to Whole Foods to pick up dinner. But they’re closed for Easter. As we’re now super hungry, we stop in House of Meatballs. What a terrific surprise. The bread roasted in Rosemary was sumptuous. I’m a vegetarian and the Tofu meatballs were superb, as was the roasted cauliflower. All in all, what a find! Especially for the modest price.

I came hwre about 7 or 8 years ago when Gio and his wonderful wife use to run this place, and his cousins from Italy use to cook in the kitchen. The food was delicious and mouth wateringly delicious.I came in the other day and had the Eggplant Parm and good lord was I severely disappointed, unfortunately. I have been craving these meatballs LITERALLY FOR YEARS... and now that retried them, and they tasted like balls of mush, I think ive had H.O.B. for the last time.So sad.I walked by the kitchen to the bathroom and caught a glimpse of their new cooks."Juan," "Jose" and "Jorge". BIG SHOCKER.

Second time at HoM and it was just as good of an experience as our first time. First time, we had a blast at the bar. This time we reserved a table and lucked out having a table right by the front windows making for a good time of people watching. Our table for 3 was clean and ready for us. Our waiter, Jeanet, was fantastic, as was the gentleman who cleared our table. Jeanet helped us decide between a couple of items on our custom pasta dishes and took good care of us.We started with a shared ceasar salad that wasn't drenched in dressing, which we appreciated. Right when we were finishing up the salad, our main entrees arrived. Perfect timing. We got gnocchi with white sauce, mushrooms, and chicken meatballs and rigatoni with creamy tomato sauce, bell peppers, and chicken meatballs. Our meals were hot and exactly what we ordered. The gnocchi in the white sauce deliciously melted in our mouths. I'm a total Stan for the creamy tomato sauce. It's the best. Only good things to say about the food, but neither of us knows anything about pasta and what it should taste like. The wine pours after the first glass were quite generous. They gave me the option of having me beer poured or in the bottle. It's a small place which means it's easy for it to get loud and noisy, but the food is worth it.Parking: There's a $6 parking garage 2 blocks away that stays open til 11pm

What's not to love about HoM? Last night was my fourth visit (I live in San Diego and don't get to LA very often). Every visit I have tried something different and all have been wonderful. With each visit, I have brought a different friend(s) and they have become instant fans as well. The staff is friendly, fun and efficient. The menu has so many items I want to try and their wine list is diverse and reasonably priced. It's a relatively small space with maybe 12 tables and a nice bar (where I sat with my friends last night). There is seating outside, both front and back, but I have not had the opportunity to try those spots. I already look forward to my next visit.

We have been to House of Meatballs several times and always have a good experience. The restaurant has a very nice ambience and the food and service are always great. It's only about a 10 minute walk from HOM to the Geffen Playhouse, so it's a great place to have dinner before a show at the theater.

This place is so great. Intimate cute atmosphere. Excellent service. Cool wine menu and customized meatball experience. There's more refined Italian food in LA but House of Meatballs is an awesome girls night or date night spot.

We made reservations for the patio. If you reserve that patio be warned that you first check in at the restaurant. Then they'll tell you that you need to walk out the door, turn left, turn left at the corner, then turn left into the alleyway, and you'll see our patio and fencing. That was weird, but it's because their patio is behind the restaurant, and you can't go through the kitchen (The only back door to the patio) for safety reasons. But everything was just perfect with the food, the speed, and the kindness!

Lexi, the manager, was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive to our table and delivered great service. The food was amazing. Highly suggest going on Wednesdays for their half off bottles of wine special! We will definitely be coming back.

This is a gem of a restaurant! The service was excellent—attentive, informative, and caring. The food was great. The ability to configure your pasta + meatball plate was awesome. We also loved the calamari appetizer and fresh ravioli. Our family enjoyed dining here and we will be back again soon!

The family and I eat at House of Meatballs frequently and also do take out from there. We like eating there as it has an almost family like quality and combines that with great pasta, pizza, and meat dishes. We love the chicken meatball flatbread, beef meatball platter, and the chicken parm. Seems like a great date place judging by all the first time dates we have seen there!

I ordered "Macaroni with Creamy Tomato Sauce". It tasted very good, but it was too expensive. The portion was too small and not enough to eat.

This cosy little Italian place is a little gem. We went for the fist time with this booking and they were so accommodating. I mentioned while booking that it was my daughter's 21st birthday and that we wanted a cake, and they contacted me directly to discuss the cake options etc, and did a great job while we were there. The food was excellent, the wait staff really lovely and it is all reasonably priced. We are so happy to have found this place. We will be back for sure..
